Firstly i've written this years cat(2007) just for the sake of having a feel. So my %ile was just around 70% i've just got a call from welingkar. I am going for it.
My present package is 4.5lac CTC and work exp 3yrs, what should i do shall i do. I am basically working in ops. dept in a power plant so mine is 8hrs shift job on rotation. So not able to join any institute for mock cats. How to manage this? Anyhow this year i need to get a score in cat!!
What is the cut off for fore school and other criterias n stages of seletion. Please tell the min, avg & max of the fore.
Also please tell what courses are availabe in fore schol & total batch intakes course wise.

wat are u upto. U are copyng n pasting the same query on all the threads. If u are appearing for CAT this year then this is tooo early. More ovr u better go to all the institues websites to get the required information. If u are serious abount an institute u wont mind browsing its website that extra minute.

Firstly, abt WELINGKAR....its an upcomin colleg, its future luks gud....but you shud anayliz this one thing first....wat wil yr status b in yor company after 2 yrs???...coz if u hav to do MBA frm Wekingkar n graduate frm ther two years down the line..u wud want a campus placement status which wud b much better than wat will u hav two yrs hence in your present job 😃
Its a tricky situation, but i wud suggest u to go seriously for CAT next year coz u hav the strong backup of work-ex......if u get a gud %ile next year, u wud b a fantastic candidate for coleges lik MDI, NITIE, SP Jain, IMT etc.
About FORE, its cut-off has been around 90+ followed by the regular rounds of GD n PI, there r no other specific criterias....u r selected on the basis of u as u r

U will reciev a letter frm FORE tellin u abt the schedule of joinin n subjects to b chosen for orientation.....wait a while.....no one can tel u for sure wen they will b dispatched coz honestly speakin.....no one knows..
The reason for the delay cannot b told for sure...firstly, the date of joinin is gonna b around 15th june to abhi its quite early waise bhi..:) otherwise, it could b becoz of the non allotment of the faculties for the electives in the orientation program...or any such other reason..

firstly a word of advise...this thread is for u guys to ask ur queries and concerns ...so for now leave d job of answering that to ur seniors....and we have maintined a tradition of being nice to everyone so d way u reacted to nagesh's query is not very welcome.......
u ppl can discuss and solve any queries among urself but not external queries....
regarding ur own query..u all will get a detailed letter from d institute once d admissions are closed( waitlist admissions included)...after dat d date will be disclosed..u will also have to choose ur foundation courses from a list provided...u guys will have to be in formal white shirt and grey trousers during d period of ur foundation course....most probaby d session will start from 15th june +,- 2 days

The internal management can only tell you such a thing n that to if u hav any personal contacts within the institute..

Well classes will commence from 14th or 15th of june .......... that is very much certain and information could come anyday after 15th of may.......

Regular sessions will start from 1st july but u will be having orientation program from 14/15 th june in which you will have to choose 3 out of 5 subjects . so it will be a 15 day orientation program for you all .
as far hostel is concerened u need to talk with management .,.. as soon as new location is finalised they will inform you.
so chill out the time u have now

these 5 subjects are for yr basic buildin of concepts in certain areas....say u r an engg. so its not expected dat u kno abt accounts...but if u wanna score gud in first year's account n finance related subjects....irrespectiv of u takin finance in second year....it is adviced dat u pick up finanace accountin as one of the 3 subjects.....similarily...if u r an accounts grad. den u might not b knowin much abt IT....so its advisable for u to take up IT as one of the 3 subjects.
Final say is dat u need to pick these subjects as n wher u feel the need....n these subjects tell u the basic fundaas in the first 15 days...dats all....nethin in particular u wanna kno....just ask..:)

but one more thing that I wanna know is that , will we be provided any kinda counselling for choosing the subjects for orientation, as one shld chosse the subjects one has little liitle knowledge abt, right?

there is no strict dress code in FORE....except for yr orientation time n for a few days after till we give u yr freshers....
in dat period u r supposed to wear formal white shirt and grey trousers (no colour code specified)....after dat u will hav to wear dem on specific days only.....wen corporates visit the campus....usually its wednesday wen our colleg organizes ANUBHUTIS...:)
