I have overall 89%tile in CAT(VA-98.2 , di-67, QA-69) AND 1.5 years IT experience
Do i stand a chance to get a GD/PI call from Fore ?

what was the cutoff last year and how is the placement
what about the expected cutoff percentile for this year

i have got an overall percentile of 99.26
but in LR i got only 31
is there any sectional cutoffs in FORE?

Just wanted to add a bit...
We can't say that the 'survey' is not authentic, it's just a populist image. The rankings has been based on the votes of puys(us). Although it may not portray the correct rankings of diff. B-schools , BUT it surely does display aspirants' perception and preference of B-schools. One can definitely have an idea of what his/her fellow aspirants think.
FORE lags behind in the poll... and one of the foremost reasons according to me is insufficient participation in advertising the school by the authorities/alumni/students. I can easily see that FORE threads are not quite sticky/regularly-used on PG. The least the seniors can do is to interact more on PG just like the other schools do.
PS: I hope authorities/alumni/students take this positively as i don't intend to offend anyone. All I want is for FORE to rock as I am 1 of the aspirants.

About the poll, you will agree that in any survey/poll who you approach is very important. People voting in this survey are mostly aspirants who themselves need to be guided. They are already confused an vote for these surveys based entirely on their perception and confuse each other even more...You can visit the Discuss the rankings thread for further details in which the moderator himself says that the rankings are not indicative that is they claim no responsibility for its authenticity.
i dont want to name any institutes but a lot of them (particularly the ones down south)which have been ranked above FORE would spell a disaster for your career. You should take this survey with a pinch of salt and instead look out for things that really make a difference like faculty, placements figures as well as profiles offered etc
Coming back to FORE good to know that you are aspiring for it. I wish you all the best and assure you that you will be very happy with your decision
FORE has a decent infrastructure. it has all facilities you need labs, a great library etc etc. But it does not have an on campus hostel. Due to space constraint it is 15 20 mins away from college on foot. That is why we say that infrastructure is one area that FORE can improve upon

The IB program at FORE is not different from the PGDM program in terms of the quality of faculty, access to resources, placement platform, hostel, etc.
And yes one advice ... I got final calls from many colleges mentioned above FORE in the ranking list which I won't mention coz its against the rules of the forum to compare. The best way to choose a college is to visit it and c for urself which was sth that I did. We also have a community on orkut if you want the views of the 2nd year students ...

If last year's trend is anything to go by, then your letters have already been printed and are in transit ... u'll get them in a week's time at most. My interview fell on 19th Feb the probability is that your interviews too will fall in mid-end Feb time. Be prepared to handle clashes of interviews between colleges ... my LBS and FORE interview were at the same time same day ... and the FORE adminstration is generally quite rigid regarding its schedule ...
@HTHARD ... you have an excellent overall but ... don't know about the sectional cut off maybe some1 else can enlighten you,

i had the same va cutoff last yr n i managed to get a calll....
so just keep ur fingers crossed n hope d sectional doesnt increase this yr..

FORE is an institute that takes into account X, XII and Grad marks + Work ex. + CAT Score. Is it true?
I have a CAT score of 89.39. I have more than 80% in my X, XII and B.E. with good extra curricular as well.
I also have a work ex. of 19 months.
Do I stand a chance as my %iles are slightly less than 90?
