Been to all these places in himanchal....loved naggar. did u visit the monastery there? Theres a place called Kasol in the Parvati valley (u have to take a right from Bhuntar). That is undoubtedly THE BEST place in all of HP, words cant describe it..honestly. Also Rohtang Pass, Hanuman Tibba, Vashisht. Very nice places, these too. I know of a group called Pugmarks, that organises treks to all over the Himalayas and Sahyadris. They're based in Pune tho'...

i agree completely ... have lived there for 5 years and two years back ... did my final sem internship ... lovely place ...
things I love abt mumbai :
1) Tapri (katin chai, wada paw, sandwich, pav bhaji) 2) Local Train ( one big amusement ride ... something similar to fear factor exp on AXN) 3) Aam Admi ( No ego at all... every one is treated equal.. a man wuth a white collar job and a man with a hawaii chappal ... ) 4) Fast pace... the moment u leave you are out u just keep running running and running ... lot of energy in mumbai and in mumbaikars 5) Imaandari ( dont have to bargain unecessarily with the auto walah)
Sometimes, just travelling on the road can be a lot of fun too..!!.. i am living at vadodra and had been to a place called pavagadh nearby.. then a wildlife sanctury.. all in nearby vicnity of 100Km.. The place was beautiful coz of the heavy monsoons.. it really rocked and the best part was the drive we had.. passing through lush green carpets.. meadows and beautiful curves.. ..we all love them..ain't we...:) 😃 .. just posting few pics out of it.. i hope ppl see and comment..!!
Just what i like.... for me i love the travelling rather more than the destination itself... I am in love with travelling.....

Sooooooooooooooo true - I strongly agree with those. Even though I have been in Delh since birth...I so much prefer the ppl in Mumbai.....really nice n helpful (most of the 1s I interacted with during my 3-4 trips).....
Well after so long I decided to chuck the laziness and write something about Kerala... well i visited kerala in end of jan this year and .... man.... Its awsome..
All the postcard pictures and and clips that everyone must have seen of Kerala truely comes alive....Kerala is exactly the place that all the advertisemnts and pictures portray it to be...
Well let me start with my jouney... I started with a cab from Madurai along with 2 of my friends... The best part about Kerala is the travelling... The scenic beauty that you see while travelling in Kerala is beyond description. Planes on one side and small hills on the other with a surfiet of coconut trees everywhere. This feels even better for the north Indians who are either used to travelling in crowded highways or decrepit hillways...Our first stop was periyar wild life century in thekkady. Well to be frank ... that place disappointed us hugely...We expected to see some wild tuskers and if we are lucky, some tigers also (Afterall Periyar is a tiger reserve) but all that we saw after a two hour boat ride in the periyar lake was 3 monkeys and 2 wild goats... Plus the sun was beating down heavily which took the toll on us.
Then in the evening at around 4 ... we left for Munnar and thatswhere the real fun began....Once again the fun was travelling... this time on hills though... We stopped at a place in between and when I came out of my cab... a chill ran through my body.... It was pitch black with no soul or a peck of light to be seen anywhere. I just raised my head to look at the sky ... and what i saw was truely awsome. The sky was filled with the stars... and there were so many starts in the sky that it seemed that they were fighting amongst each other for the places to position themselves. Almost every part of the sky was covered with starts.. One thing is for sure... all those ppl living in the cities would never see that spectacle...i have travelled extensively... but the virginity and the unspoilt nature of kerala is hard to beat.
Munnar as descibed by someone earlier in this thread is a very small hill station, So small that I guess that every peson would be knowing the other person there. It was such a small hill station that almost whole of the town can be covered by walking... Well next day we left for sigh seeing... Tea Gardens... you can only see that to appreciate its beauty.... Munnar is completely different from the other hill stations of north... First its not as crowded and its pritine nature is still maintained.
Next we left for Allepy...After our two hours ride in thekkady which i have no option but to describe as boring ... we were wary of boating... But ppl go to Allepy only for riding on backwaters... So once again we had to do the boating and this time for more than 2 hours... We hired a boat for four hours. And this ride is what actually told us that why ppl come to Kerala in the first place... I have never felt so relaxed in my life.... The boat moving slowly in the water and the beauty which surrounds you is great.... The feeling and the atmosphere cannot be put into words... It can only be felt...We were amazed to see the life of the ppl living on the shores... Aleepy is called the Venice of the east... and Ya .. whole of that place was living on the shores.. There were normal public boats (like public buses)for going from one place to another and they used the water as their roads... It is the only place in the world where rice farming is done below the sea levels... Ride in the backwater left me craving for more... amd made me promise to come back to Kerala again
I have pics of kerala... if some one wants to see it... i would be happy to send them thru mail...
Only after visiting Kerala you would know that Kelara is really 'God's Own Country'.
The best place that I have visited till now is Eilat in Israel. Its a tourist's paradise on the southernmost point of Israel. The only people u'll see there are tourists and that too from across the globe. Just across the Red sea u can see Jordan and even Egypt's coast is not too far. You have all kinds of water sports like para sailing, scuba diving and that too at affordable rates. The sea coast has amazing corals. There's even an underwater observatory. The average age of the crowd there must be less than 25 😃
During the day time the beach side DJ parties simply rock. Infact Indians are the only people u'll find fully clothed there while at night the pubs and discs come alive. The night parties go on till 5 am. The place has a small airport built just next to the sea.
