Best places that you have visited

hi..

Shivpuri near rishikesh is good place to go for ppl who love river rafting. I went there when i was in 8th. We camped there for 2 days . It was absolute fun....

for all those headed to IIMK

get hold of a bike and travel down the mountainous roads of kerala...its lush green forests and sometimes fields on both sides of the undulating road. And be warned its a risk ur taking!! The bus drivers and lorry guys are crazy there!! They believe in over takin only on the blind curves with 50-100 m drops!!! but its totally worth it!! if u aint the bikin kind...get a jeep and pick a location say anywhere within a 100 km radius and take a drive. Take a camera along as ull find great spots all along the route. Dont worry aboout the location the less well known it is the better coz lesser of tourists and more fun u can have!! as ur not travellin as a family to need "amenities'!! Have a spirit for adventure and kerala might be the most literate state but mostly in malayalam!! hindi and english are not that well spoken esp if u move away from the city/town

in kerala distances are notoriously deceptive a 100 km drive wud take u about 2.5 to 3 hrs by jeep thanks to the terrain... so factor this in when u plan ur trip!!

im puttin in a few pix i had taken long time bak in kerala...mind u none of them were near any "tourist" spots!!

the..place that i liked the most is the same as the favourite of AB Vajpayee
its MANALI
its situated in beatiful hills
still not commercialized much so it retains its natural beauty which is so much soothing
the most soothing moments of my life were at Hidimba Devi Temple( the one which was shown in movies like roza and saudagar) in manali
i saw the manali and i m a fan of the place
u can find apple trees on road side
its all sooooooooo lovely

i had been to kashmir ages ago, when there was no fighting......that was some time when i was in std 1....:) ........but i still remember visiting that place.....srinagar,pahalgam,shalimar garden et all.the dal lake and the boat house.we even dined in one of the boat houses.and there was no shortage of apples.........there was a tree loaded with apples at the guest house we stayed.the best memories are of the horse ride on the hills and we also got to see the place where the movie "betaab" starring sunny deol and amrita singh was shot.also the shikara ride with flower boats passing by was the best.and the ppl were also very friendly.
but sadly after so many years this paradise is getting destroyed.i can never forget that starting scene from the movie "mission kashmir" where they show a shikara being blown up amidst the dal lake setting. it was terribly disturbing. .

one of the most beautiful places i have ever visited is Auli. it is in the himalayan region, not very far away from Badrinath. the best think abt it is that not many ppl know there is such a place in India, therefore it is not crowded. there r only govt cottages (no private hotels) available for the tourists to stay and they r pretty decent and cheap as well. Auli is famous spot for skiing in the winter and it has one of the longest ropeways in asia. the surrounding view is breath-taking. I hope it wont get over-crowded like Simla.

ya coonoor is definitely very beautiful. especially the churches and the valley view was amazing 😃

HI,
I went to Coonoor, little further than Ooty. It's a very beautiful town, not as crowded as Ooty. What can i say : It was the most amazing experience i ever had on a hill station.

Trekking in Sakleshpur: Near Mangalore, we went on the Railway tracks (abandoned). The views were simply breath taking.

matheran is a good place to visit, it is very close to Mumbai. the climate is awesome, the cost factor does not burden ur pocket and most importantly there r no cars allowed within the limits of matheran therefore u breathe pure air. Mumbaites can visit it anytime it takes barely 4 hrs to reach (depends on mode of transportation).

well me too went to admire its beauty..but all i can remember now is taj jumping up and down.... 😁
well it was in mid june..and the tempearture was what u can call scorching..the marble was white hot..there was this plastic mat kinda thing which was laid down so that tourists dont tread on hot marble..but the mat itself was close to melting...all i could do was keep jumping again and again to sooth my tender feet from the virtual frying pan..

hey
of all the places that i have visited i find sikkim to be the most beautiful place.
its just so awesome, very peaceful, absolutely no chaos. it has some beautiful and world famour monastaries like rumtek mon. then there are beautiful orchids. the view of kanchenjunga from a place there is stunning. and a few km from sikkim is the nathula border that india shares with china, again most stunning place. and on the way is a small lake right in the valley which is frozen for half the year. the view is amazing...
so guys take my word and visit sikkim atleast once.:)

The way ppl are eulgolising Himachal makes me  guys..
I was there b4 the independence day this yr.
Manali averaged some 28-30 deg. cel. then..

And they blocked the Rohtang route coz of some landslide..it esp suxx when u travel some 2500 kms only to find trucks and other vehicles stranded arnd the ghat roads

To top it all,the Chinks got a brainwave and chose to deepen some lake nr the border .This caused lotta panic coz the Sutlej now had the risk of breaching!!

Wat a forgettable jaunt...and my best place till date is Coorg.
But i shud mention that I luved the malls at Manali, got a pair of "original" chinese counterfeit MANu NIKE sneakers.IT lasts to this day.And of course the free apples at the mandis ....some solace...

South India gets really beautiful during its monsoons. Its cool, rainy and colourful. The best time ever. When you travel from Bangalore to Coimbatore on the Intercity train when it rains, the landscape changes from brown and gray to vibrant green against cludy grey skies. It's gorgeous!
Another lovely journey is a journey by road from Bangalore to Mysore. Mysore was a cultural hub and on a road journey, you can many stops to visit ancient temples. If you close your eyes, you can imagine how it was a 1000 years ago, familes, priests... dances and matchmaking....
Take the time, hire a car and explore.

humm. i guess u saw a very small part of himachal and u focussed on the unnecessary part of the whole travel trip.. once u start taking small treks in the wilderness, u will understand wat himachal is all about..yeah, it is not all very beautiful when u travel by road.. unlike south india.. but u see himachal when u become a mountain addict..it has some of the highest peak of the country..best of lakes like bheem taal, bhrigu lake and lots of them....going to rohtang, it is quite an experience.. and if u r talking about views from road, nothing gr8.. step outside of vehicle..take a stroll.. see chadra taal and more such things which only himachal offers.. come out dude.. leave the comforts of life.. nike sneakers u get at many a place. u don't get lakes surrounded with peaks anywhere else.. do u..?? and still if u have doubts, come along with me on my next trek.. may be mid september.. i think i will help u in rethinkin about ur opinion about himachal..

cheers..!!
