I am not talking abt the oridianry traeks in the mountains .. i am talking of some real adventurous (read frightening) treks where the common ppl generaly dont dare to put their feet to. i know that there are many places in himalyas that would qualify to be in really beautiful places but they are not easily accesible because of landscape and things... i want to explore thses kinds..

) a place called paonta sahib ..U can catch buses frm Dlhi to paonta ..Or better contact any website abt info to get there.Once u r in paonta ask for buses frm the local bus top to places called Shilai and kafota .. THey are real kickass .and if i guess correctluy no d00d in delhi wud have heard of em !!khota

Well i was not actually looking for the plce puneet ...i was looking for the package that originates from del.. well the fact is that i have just completed my engg and most of my frinds have already strted their jobs.. whereas i am left stranded As Damn TCS given me the joining of 17 aug. So i am left with few friends (infact just one) who are willing to go.. so i was looking for a package tour which takes only the ppl whio r in search of adventure.. like a goos trek or a bike ride across himalayas. So in particular i am searching for a package beacuse i wont try riding bike alone with my friend in the pillion in the mountains....
I know that these things exist but they are few and far in between.. a friend travelled from Delhi to Leh on bike with 10 other freaks and a guide to escort them..
i guess it will become diffcult to answer my query now....

try surfing at royalenfield.com. u'll have to register yourself. you'll get lots of info on package tours on bike from delhi. even if you dont have enfield bike, they'll take you upto dehradoon/chandigarh on shatabti, u'll get some quick lessons on rented bullet bike, and u take off to your destination. its a well guided tour and lots of adventure enthusiastics will be there to accompany you.

Baki anuj i guess i got u wrongly .chalo i dunno any packages n stuff.Though in summer i guess there are package trekking trips in places like gangotri in uttranchal ( arnd 20-25 km trekinh..iN FACT I WENT THERRE THIS JUNE AND MAN THIS PLACE IS AMAZING..anYWAY There must also be trips to places like kinnaur,lahaul n spiti...If possible find abt places like chamba n dalhousie..U may find somethig that intersts u !!!

Himachal rocks...maybe followed closely by uttaranchal. but who the heck said manali falls low on the 'cool' index? :grab:
you really need to know which joints to hang out in and what time of the year to go there. it's still one of those hill stations where you'll find a bed of pine trees and crystal clear mountain tops...it's a blast of a place and i've been hooked to it for the past 4 years.
also - goa is a pretty cool place to hang out in - but tif you know a few locals there then you really get a flavour of what that place is all about.
and - surprise surprise - i put diu on the list as well!!! yeah i know itz a small place and all the blah jazz....but if you can find your spot (of which there are many here), then it's quite a nice place to go to. but u need to do ur homework b4 that. we stayed in an old portugese villa and ate prawns for bfast/ lunch/ dinner...scootied abt the place and tooks loads of b/w snaps...of the locals...villages...scenery...nice comfy place...

anuj - u shud have taken relaxingh's heed and checked out royalenfield.com they just concluded a truip from ladakh - a large no of bikers headed up north...missed opportunity for u
. anyways....regstr on the site and keep postn mssgs...there are groups of ppl who head north to the hills every odd month...you cud tag along.but u ppl - specifically ppl smitten by the wanderlust bug - check out www.60kph.com - you'll love it! great stories - brilliant pictures - a treat for the senses!

yups got what i wanted.. lot of information abt packages... but unfortunately most of the packages catered to western tourists and thats why too too expensive.... (50 grands or so)... cant think abt them atleast at this stage... maybe after i start earning...
