Yeah, BIM offers dual specialization...Infact BIM is known for its Finance specilaization.We have one of the best faculties and one of the finest faculties in India come as a visiting faculty.As far as industry interaction is concerned we are situated within BHEL complex- a direct interaction with industry...we are allowed free entry into the industry.We also enjoy a very good reputation with the corporate world,you may verify it by asking it with your relatives in corporate world.Every now and then we have lectures from foriegn professors and personality workshops go round the year. Our director being an alumni of BIM itself lays more importance on the quality of education.Placements have been good this year as compared to last year with an average salary of 4.5 lacs.Hope this answer your queries.

bim has only two centres.. trichy and chennai... as for when... God Only Knows... possibly after they decide that they FINALLY have to conduct gd/pi :)
well what can i say but that their venue choice is not very comfortable. tell me where does aperson staying in delhi go. you guys are lucky. being nearer to the venues decided:angel:

got a call from sibm dual-but dint get a final call..in their total break up sibm gave me 50 out of 150 based on xat score..i still hv to figure out how they marked me..

first time writting in this thread... felt like sharing few things with u all after reading all ur posts. i would like to appologize to u all if someone feels bad about my post.
first, i found many of u saying few good things and few bad things about BIM.. its all perfect as we all are looking to shape our future.. and we need to make decisions. but i found few who where going to the extremes of degrading BIM a lot.. guys lets be practical.. we are here to talk about admission process and solve few queries.. who ever posts here i am sure is applying to BIM.. if u are not then do not talk anything that may reduce the impression on ones mind.. u will be saying many things about the institute right now but i am sure when u get call u will always say its one among the best.. so lets come to real world afterall we all want to be in a position where we take responsibilities and decisions. so try to take ur own right frm now..
This is for those who are interested in finance.. i have few friends who passed out from BIM couple of years back and are in ICICI.. it seems finance is one of the best course offered in the industry and many of us(me and my friends- frm BIM and IISc) beleive that we can grade it along with IISc.. as far as the course structure and the placements go..
so of course its good school..
so for those who waiting for ur GD/PI calls all the best and those who did not apply, lets pray for others.

Moreover since BIM is also in trichy,u folks might be havin some idea abt NIT.
I want some unbiased info abt the Institute(for MBA) and its placements.
Do companies goin for BIM also visit NIT for their recruitment?

Guys, some latest info gathered from a friend who is studying in DOMS NIT Trichy...
He told me that MOSTLY Softwares Companies, which come to recruit guys from B.E courses of the college, recruit them.
So the ONLY specialization worth taking up is in I.T systems. He also told me that there are problems regarding summer placements.Only about 5-6 guys from his batch have got summer placements till now..
Looks like i have second thoughts about the college now.!!

As already told, we can give you any information you want regarding our Institute. I think it would not be very fair on our part to comment on other's institute when we do not know much ..!! It would be better if you catch hold of any NITian for details.
