Talking of animals..this came straight from the horses mouth!! BTW, HRH what are u splits in CAT and XAT? I read u got 99 overall..why dont u drop this year and write cat/xat etc next time? Thats what Im planninig to do with my 92 in XAT. BIM is gone too far.
Hrh i know both ur cat and xat percentile is around 98-99 % if u can manage bim well and good! if not then pls do not go opt for xiss! i heard the placements seems pretty bad! ( i met a person from ranchi during my gim gd -pi ! ) he told me that!

why uall so surprised BIM hasnt taken its results out by now .... it is totally in accord with the kind of unprofessionalism they hav shown til now .... my advice to uall is that even if u get thru reconsider ...... u wudnt wanna b in a place where everything is so disorganized.....

due to the lack of good all round performance, i didnt get any of the high-profile calls... and even in the calls i did get, i do not have a single confirmed call, waitlist is not a confirmed call... so for me, this year's MBA attempt only has BIM and XISS left.. i didnt appear at XIME... guess was slightly complacent...also, i am appearing at TISS.. so depending on my TISS performance, i will have to decide about another attempt at CAT... however, i absolutely agree that instead of joining a not so good institute, it is better to give it another try... and this time around, i can put all the extra efforts that quant requires...I am also thinking if it wud be a good idea to give only CAT... as in no other exam...
about XISS, i have absolutely no idea.. about anything... but i recall someone mentioning that for HR, it is not very good, but good... something near SCMHRD...
so right now, i am just waiting....
regarding xiss! i think it is a poor cousin of tiss for hr !
the location is ranchi and the institute has reservations for locals !
i personally think opting for xiss is sucidal for a person with around 98-99 in cat and xat!
any ways hrh are u waitlisted any where!
put in ur best efforts for bim!@ if not give cat again daa! that would be the best choice!

hi i ..converted GIM/FORE/N KJ SOMAIYA (ALMOST).N MAN BIM is gettin sick day by day...man r they selcting for the yr 2006 or wat..man its disgusting..cnnt wait for it now as deadline iis 15th april..Already forfeited FORE..n cnnt affort 2 forfeit any other college.These MBA colleges think we all are L.N.Mittal..n we can deposit mny evrywhere n whenever they want.Man it hurts 2 forfeit such a big amnt of hard earned mny(55k is the signing amnt of fore).N wats the use of purchasin a fore if we cnnt even sit for GD/PI ..like in all its likelihood BIM...who gonna join them?

& GUYS i m frm JAmshedpur 2n1/2 hrs frm Ranchi.. N i knw XISS personally as 1 of my COUSIN DID his mba frm there n he is still regretting that...there is 2 much of back door entry for bihar n jharkhand MP N MLA's Candidate..n the place has gt nthg..nthg means NTHG.

This BIM is turning out into a joke. HRH, if you can push yourself for one more CAT, you should be through to IIMs.

is there anybody to discuss this issue? if they do not conduct gd/pi, what could be the overall(>95?) and sectional cutoffs(82? as some body was saying?). I think they must consider sectional cutoffs anyway. what might be the no. applications they receive? do they consider work ex, past academics, etc?

the order was that they should not conduct gd/pi.. it has been stayed... so now they will conduct the gd/pi farce as well...
EVERY inst (which is supposedly good) has nominal (atleast) sectional cutoffs.. hope it isnt 82 for BIM.. abt overall cutoffs... sibm had 96, ppl rejected by sibm after gd/pi have applied to bim... so there will be lots of applicants in the 90+ range... its anybody's guess what the cutoff wud be... oh, and by the way, some of the 95+ stus might already have taken admission in some b-school... thanx to the excellent example of efficiency set by the world's best b-school...
workex and past acads are considered by all b-schools... bim shud be no different
