Ladybird,
No certifications in the field of HR..You can however research on innovative short-term programmes offered by some institutes, not sure though, which ones and what courses. But HR is a field where its not about certifications, but about diverse workexp, so once you get working, your profile will then start to enrich.

There are some certifications which I came across in my research. Its given by a certain HR Certification Institute. There are 3 certifications:
1. Professional in Human Resources (PHR)
2. Senior PHR (SPHR)
3. Global PHR (GPHR)
Minimum eligibility requirement for all 3 says, minimum 2 years of professional work exp. But then I remember seeig something for students also.
These are also costly and I don't know its international acceptance. Here's the document/brochure I have. You can probably go through and do some more research on it.
is doing some certification really boosts ur performance/package.........
i'm a engg fresher of 2011 going to join lnt info tech
also do these certificates strenthens ur cv for an mba call?
Hi,
I did my PGDM from MICA and wants to go for APICS CPIM. But I am not very sure of the value addition that CPIM will bring to my resume.
can anybody tell me does CPIM makes sense in marketing resume?
it doesnt much Sidhhant..unless you are in the manufacturing/supply chain/ERP sector..
Hi,
Thanx for the reply...but my logic was being an Marketing grad taught be the CRM aspect of the SCM...but to learn what goes behind the scene and add more value to CRM part i need to understand the other aspects of SCM too.
So how to effectively use SCM to add value to the customers i need to understand various other issues.
Also, i thought this will help me get into more general management role as I will be understanding the business aspect more thoroughly.
Thats why i thought of doing a SCM certification.
Is the way I am thinking is flawed?
Please elaborate.
Hi Puys
I am not very sure if my question will make much sence

CII is brand name in itself..send me link which course you are talking about..lets compare it to Apics Cscp Course.
the details mentioned in www.ciiligistics.com
Actually, I have just appeared for my b.com(H) final year exams. I want to do job so I am looking for certifications to boost my cv.Hope this will help me in finding job. Should a commerce student pursue it?
APICS is a global standard and a globally recognized credential. However, CII is a good brand too.
Siddhant,
No, your thoughts arent flawed. But my only point here would be a PGDM from MICA. For a MICA grad, a marketing domain / sector / job that he does in his day-to-day life is most of the times not CRM / Supply Chain. Its usually more into Branding / Product Marketing Strategy / Advertising & Media Mgmt. You can however, pursue APICS for an edge into CRM, (in case you want to move into Gen Mgmt) but again, if you are placed good enough in your career with a typical post-MICA career, I do not think APICS is required.
All the best.
