I am currently doing my MBA in Marketing and want to get into IT consulting /Presales.I have 3yrs experience in IT as SE.I am planning to take CAPM but wanted to know whether I am eligible for the certification.If not , can anybody pls advice an IT certification that will add value.
I think u need to do first CIPM first and then u can go for CAPM or PMP...its a gud certification which wud be quite helpful for u to get short-list in many companies during placements

To make the profile more apt. what kind of certification programs are there in marketing field....... It will be gr8 if someone suggest me what options i can opt.............

Many of like me r trying to get information regarding Certifications which will help us to build the profile for Marketing Management.All have mentioned only one course CIM-UK but no one mentioned its benefits and talks about value addition.I have seen the course content its asme as MBA in marketing.So is it worth doing if anybody done it plz let me know from where n how much it costs...

There are no such major certifiations for Marketing. The only way one shows his interest in marketing/develops knowledge beyond classroom in marketing is through weekend projects/ other small projects / research papers on Marketing.
As such, no certification exists in my knowledge which provides an edge to a person interested in marketing.
I am in final year of graduation and want to gain some certificates.... main reason for it is to boost my profile for b-school ... can u suggest for some of these...

foreign language is always an advantage. but ur knowledge in tht language must be sound coz when u r showing these certficates , they will ask u puzzling questions on tht language for sure . 😃

i have gone through their basic finance banking module and Corp Banking module and personally i found it to be very practical and different from other courses...

2-for their foundation level, they have finance and banking international and national- and under these they have 4 courses and a combo product. in combo product, all other 4 courses are also included?
3- which one should on go for? international one or national?
4- are training courses required or just certification will do owing to the fact that i have done BBA (finance)

You can go for some CRM certifications in case you're looking to be in Retail sector itself. For finance, CFA (US one) is the best one to go for. For Insurance, INS, LOMA or Actuarial certifications are most popular. For operations or project management, ITIL is a good choice.

1) test would be conducted and if u clear , u will be certified..
2) no combo doesnt include 4 courses
3) go for indian one .. not much difference between both though
4) latter .. i think these are not mandatory but then u got to do it to gain more knowledge
I am a Software engineer with a work-ex of 25 months.
I wish to make a move from the IT domain to a finance domain and would like to know some of the many certifications available. I already have the CFA in mind. However, please provide a few more names, preferably global certifications.
If we register for any flip certification only. Would we be given some reading material also along with it or not ? Or we would have to register for whole training, then only we would be getting the material.
