I have left my job and have three months of free time after that i'll be going for mba from IIT kanpur, my purpose is to work with consultancy companies (the field of consultancy is not fixed can be IT,Finance,Strategy) after mba, have no exp in the field of finance. can somebody let me know -will i get any advantage of doing cfa in my field of interest ie:- consultancy -can somebody provide me some pdf to start with thanks

No actually there is just a Ba 2 plus and the professional one....and the schweser notes have solved all problems using ba 2 plus....so y spend extra on the professional one??
I recently bought CFA level 1 dec 2012 notes from Om centre.. nice print quality , 1100 Rs. Actually i initially gave him my address of pune but since most of the time i am at office so thought i might miss the parcel. So afterwards gave my hometown address in gujarat. anways due to miss communication on my part ,the notes ended up being delivered at both the address .
LONG story short , I have 2 copies of CFA level 1 material for Dec 2012. If anyone wants it for 1000 Rs , then PM me ur details. thanks
PS: courier charges will be born by me,around 400 Rs..So anways am loosing out 500 bucks overall... but still it will reduce the damages..

Its quite easy once u start...its basically the compound interest formula dat we know since high school....the TI BA 2 plus makes all the calculations insanely easy...just start and u will get hang of things....btw how did u finish the session 1...its soo boring plus u cant remember it till dec...I plan to do it in the end...

I am starting with Quant and Economics simultaneously to avoid monotony....but some advise to start with FPA though I have the feeling the quant will come in handy in it....Ethics I will do it in October end and then revise in November...
