This week i started off with Time value of Money . although it is very early to judge ...it doesnt seem to be that tough ( as i thought , may be ! ),, yes some amount of practise is required.

Hi Rohit .. Usually majority of the students prefer to study from Scheweser notes .. I just bought the notes last week .. So check out if these Schweser 2010 notes are available in your city .. Hope this helps .. Tc .. >>

hey guys I am cfa level 3 candidate and have cleared my previous 2 level in 08 n 09 respectively. Right now I am working in mumbai and having a plenty of free time. If anyone is having a problem with the course work then I might be some help. Between people who are fluent in spoken in english only need to contact as I will be appearing in few iim interviews this year( results are not out yet but i am sure about my calls 😃 ) and I want to improve my spoken skills. * Please can any1 tell me wat is the weightage for each of the Topics in absolute terms.....d weightages dat r mentioned in the websit is in % terms...... The 6 hour exam will be of how many marks?????????

Has anyone talked to somebody who's cleared all the three levels ? How did it help them in their career ? I have gone thru all the posts of Rajatb and all. So that much I know. Any gyaan from someone who's cleared all the levels ?
As far as my info goes, CFA doesn't add great value to your CV as one would expect from it's reputation/hype,. It has not helped people leapfrog in their career.

1. It is certainly possible to clear CFA L 1 in june 2010 if u start now, but you should have basic knowldge of economics and finance.In case, you dont have it, I would advise you to go for Dec 2010 coz the pass % was very low for the december 09 L1 as compared to previous years.
2. You wont get any discounts if u do not clear it in the 1st attempts
3. visit CFA website and see available centres for june and dec 2010
Just FYI....If someone fails to clear CFA level 1 in june and registers again for December exam than he need not pay the registration fee and the curriculum fee again...so the fee will come around 300-350 dollars only..just confirmed this from a CFA charter holder!!

Hello everyone, Finally after a long time making a post in pagalguy thread... I am yet to enroll for cfa level 1 in june 2010, have almost made up my mind to register in couple of days. Just not getting that confidence , and still there exist negative thoughts of going for the kill. i have good basic finance knowledge, specially in corp finance (valuation, security analysis etc. ), and i am good in fsa too. Will i will be able to complete the course in 2 and a half months(3-4 hrs on daily basis), albeit i know that it depends on individual to individual?? How tough is ethics? can someone elucidate on few of its points? I would appreciate if someone experience put in some words to my query so that i can reach that level of confidence which i am missing now... If you comfortable with Corp Fin and FSA,I would advice you to take a shot at June L1.Ethics is managable;simple stuff,but requires dedication.However FSA is the biggest part and if you confi with it,I dont see why you cant make an attempt.ATB,keep asking!
