I have just completed my Engg in I.T
I dont have any commerce knowledge.
Regarding economics very laymen knowledge and aware of various economic terms.
I can give daily 5 hours of input for preparation.
My quantitative skills are good.
I scored 96.54%ile in CAT.
So not planning to do an MBA as I wont be getting into good B-School.
So can someone guide as to for me as an Engg should i target for CFA june or December.

Schweser notes provided by them will have 2010 printed on outside page and 2009 will be printed on subsequent page. ---> dis is true...dese notes are for june 2010 and dec 2010.
It contains 5 study material 2 Ques Banks and CD for total cost of Rs. 1000/ incl courier to Delhi ---> price is f9... if u buy dem in person...he gives u for 600.... rest 400...he is charging u for courier.
From where I can buy calculator in Delhi and any pointer which of the two should i go for---> laxmi xerox, mumbai also gives calc... u can ask him to courier it to you...price varies frm 1850-2200...u need to bargain..

can you pls comment: will 2 month prep be sufficient for CFA level 1 ?
I have cleared 3 ncfm certifications( financial mkts,capital mkrts, and derivatives mrkts) and am comfortable with stock markets. good at mathematics too.
Any comments- will all this be helpful for me to clear cfa level 1 in 2 months time ?

i dont think NCFM would be of any help for CFA-L1. to be very honest NCFM is a mockery in itself with repeated questions and the level no doubt is nothing compared to CFA . I myself have done derivative module of ncfm. It helped me in the extent that i know what is option, future , swaps etc. but that's it. there is lot more than that. btw i think this module would be a bit easier to handle if u have done ncfm in derivative as u would be knowing these terms in advance. however, it is still possible to do the cfa l1 if u start today but would be dfficult.Personal opinion though :). ATB

for a basic understanding of accountancy refer class 11 12 cbse text books this wud clear u all basics then may be try reading the FRA book

I came across some doubts during the course of my study....Hope I could find answers to them thru this Forum......I will b appearing for June 2010 - Level-1....Completely relying on self-study, no coaching assistance.............
My doubts are as follows........
1.VOLUME 4 (CORPORATE FINANCE) - Pg 33 ...Ques 13.....Please tel me how to go about solvinsg this ques. One option is NPV Profiling but that is a time - consuming method ;moreover how to determine at wat all discount rates should NPV Profiling be done?
2.VOLUME 4 (CORPORATE FINANCE) - pg 57 - It is mentioned below the formula for sustainable growth rate that the ROE used is the Historical Return on Equity. However , just below that in the example of Citigroup Inc. the ROE used is 16.6(GOING FORWARD) rather than 20 (TRAILING). Why so??
3.VOLUME 4(CORPORATE FINANCE) - Pg 119 - In PANEL B: CALCULATION OF WEIGHTED AVERAGE COLLECTION PERIOD , how are the collection days calculated? I could not make out , from where did those figures come?
