Nothing as such.. But yes be sure that you get the Schweser CD along woth it.. Also, somehow I always prefer the notes with spiral binding, so just see if you too would prefer that
@neeupp : HI just cld up om book shop.. they sd that it costs 1200 bucks.. 300 are supposedly courier charges as i stay in chandigarh.. he also sd that it ws a hard bound set.. Do u think these will be latest ones for 2013? As u sd that the hard bound ones wud come around mid december.. Im a little confused..

And you would be needing a calculator too.. Generally people use Texas Instrument BBA II plus calculator.. So if he is giving u for anythin upto 2000, u cud get that also in the same courier.. Otherwise u wil have to pay separately for courier or wil have to spend time getting it online or from the market..
Im right nw wrking in the engg sector and planning to do mba after 2 yrs.Later on im hoping to join a consultancy firm like delloite,E&Y;,etc.So would taking up cfa help my profile and future job prospects ?Also if i manage to clear nly level 1 nd do mba ,does that really benefit?

CFA is for finance ppl... well look in the first place if u wanna get into consulting than CFA is redundant and it wont help much...it is basically for those who want to get into IB...L1 certification is obtained by a lot of ppl..so it may not help now...but once u clear L3 u wld definitely get that edge over others provided u want to go into IB...

just think urself ...why wld any finance knowledge give one an edge in a consultancy job...it may luk gud on the CV...

CFA is as such a correspondence course and you should look it completely independent of your MBA preparations. I wish you get into some good MBA college this time itself. If not, than you could very well start with CFA and could continue it during/after your MBA..

Just doing CFA level 1 would not be of any help. It is not worth the time and money. Level 2 is still some worth and if you are planning to get into CFA, always aspire for all the three levels.
Hey Puys, I have been working in a consultancy firm for around 18 months. I am planning to do my MBA in Finance next year (starting June 2013). Will CFA be of much help if I'm pursuing MBA in Finance? Is it recognized by Indian recruiters while hiring from B-schools?

Can anyone guide me as to how I should go about preparing for CFA. I have downloaded the Schweser books from internet. But I am really confused as to how I should go on preparing for it.
@sweet_poison hey r u preparing for June 2013? if so then i'll suggest you to do study 3-4 hrs-a-day .. so that you can complete your syllabus 1 month prior to exam .. & in last month you should practice with 2000+ questions atleast
