CFA Level 1, June 2013

Hey,
I got schweser classes for June 2012. Is there any difference in June 2013 version? or can i refer the previous version? I have to give exams for level 1 in June 2013
Secondly, i am CA final student and i already have a background of finance. How much time should i devote per week for L1?

Hi guys..I want to enroll for cfa l1.I went to the site to make an account first but whenever i make a password with all the required criteria(shows a check sign) its says " Password does not comply with CFA's password policy" I dont know what to do.Please help me out and suggest some sample passwords

it's a alphanumeric password, no special characters required. As far as I remember both caps and small letters needed. Length would be 8 or greater

Just try different passwords...may be something just random...have small letters, caps and numerals as well...it should work...i experienced the similar problem but then it worked just fine.

Hi guys...is this the thread where we can post doubts regarding CFA schweser material and have it clarified or there is some other thread for the same?

I am in 1st year as well, and my opinion is you can surely complete the syllabus, I have seen ppl clearing it in even 2months of prep, You have sufficient time in hand.
Rather I would insist for June because:
a) Valuable CV point, given that by the time Dec L1 results come, most of the colleges freeze their CVs.
b) It given you the option of trying for FRM-Nov as well or may be L2 for next June.

I am an EXTC Engg and planning to do my MBA this year. Given i start my preparations within few days, will I be able to complete the syllabus for the exam in June 2013? I have no background in Finance.

Kindly reply!

Yes Why not, you have more the 3.5months and 3 months is sufficient for preparation keep 2 weeks for revision and practicing the questions.
P.S: I personally know ppl who have cleared L1 with 2 months of preparation only.
@magnumopus22605 Great. Thanks! Was just nervous coz i have no background or prior knowledge relating to this field.
