puys I know you all might be too busy with your preparation.........all the best for it.........just wanted to ask that how was your experience of Level 1? Did you guyz do just the schweser notes or cfa books also for every chapter? Can Level 1 be cleared with schweser only? How tough or tricky the questions were?

hi dude. I managed by just doing schweser questions but I had severe time constraints. I did 0 mocks, prac exams, cfa book questions. Only did concept checkers. still advise you do atleast one exam. I did practice questions from the CD for select topics/readings i found hard

It was a mixed bag. Some questiones were direct and not twisted while others were more of application based. I am unable to recall which were in majority. So be prepared for both. As compared to schweser the difficulty level was higher for most of the sections!!

what i found... mixed bag in every section. easy strghtforward... twisted etc... One more thing i can say is, it is based upon your area of interest and in which you are comfortable. For example.. if i personally feel equity easy and comfortable... then i can say equity is easy and rest are tougher. So i think it is mixed and subjective as well...

Anyone got idea about cancellation/deferring/refunds for Level 2 exams. Impossible for me to write this one due to other commitments. I know the site mentions its not allowed, but I have heard that people have managed. Please let me know how if anybody has any clue. Thanks!

Im appearing for cfa level1 this dec so need some advice, 1. is there enough time for me to complete the syllabus till dec 2. Are schweser notes enough for preparing until i get the cfa institute notes after i register in August? 3. Which are the subject that are tough and need attention? 4. I read in some post tht for Alt. Investment schweser notes are not good...so what is the other option? 5. Is the TI BA 2 plus calci sufficient or should i go for professional ?

1. You have ample time to do the course twice :) 2. For L1 schweser is good enough 3. That depends on your background and comfort level.. I suggest get on to it and see for yourself 4. Other option would be CFA Institute books itself 5. For L1 and L2 TI BA 2 would suffice. Even I am not sure about L3
hey guys, just needed help from u ppl..as i m in a complete mess..hardly managed to complete schweser first reading this week....n there seems to be no tym for any practise exams or any mock test..i have went through a couple of vignettes just to realise that indeed i remember nothing from the syllabus....what shud i do guys....i really want to get through this...
any suggestions will really be appreciated but pls dont suggest to skip the attempt
