@harsh1839 If u get an average score (as 50) then it might be difficult to get in preffered states. u may have to go in south. I feel u should have Gujrat as preference on higher preority.

to get excise delhi minimum final score required will be around 450
@BJ00 it wud be more than that i guess , delhi is always d most preferred 1 for any post . going by d large no. of vacancies for excise i m just hoping that i get some place in north

dear friend upsc is not a child's play
evertime result is unexpected even meritorious aspirants do not find themselves in qualified list
so mr monsun dont take other post lightly and go for interview
i have already faced upsc interview two times
and this i could not even crack preliminary
so be careful

hello ashoo, as you are serving you would know if there is transfer in IT inspector?
i mean suppose i am selected for delhi then will i spend whole life in delhi or transfer to punjab or tamil nadu etc will happen.if transfer does happen is it compulsory or option of the person and after how many years. if i get delhi and later want to shift to punjab is it possible?

trvg hi friend, Yaar currently I m working as a inspector of central excise and here transfer is very difficult , U can apply for transfer only after two years, Unless u have any solid ground (like spouse etc. or any high level jack) it is very difficult. I have also been selected as IT Inspector (mumbai) through cgl 2011. In IT transfer is much easier in comparison to Central Excise. U have to try for the transfer otherwise it is only inside the zone.

I did not fill up the option of tax assistant. but due to score i got a call.

@abhi_kool on an average if u work for 3-4 hrs honestly, that would be sufficient. It can vary also from 2-6 hrs according to the office u get. BTW u need not worry for ur next ssc bcz by the time u would join ur job next ssc would be over (pre & mains). In the worst case I would suggest u not join the job till u r finished with ur next ssc 13. As this would be ur last attempt. U can take the extension for final joining. ur job will be safe & u can better concentrate on ur target. BCZ whatever the job is , It takes some time to adjust with it. Thats my view. Else is up to u.

@ashoo456 thanks a lot ashoo sir, my main motive is to stay in home state of punjab, first pref is ITI punjab but it had only 1 seat last year. if i dont get it should i fill excise in punjab as next option or IT in delhi, uttarakhand, HP etc and try to get transfer to punjab.

secondly do u know for the job profile of an ITI means how many
hours of daily duty and whether they need to go on saturday,sunday etc?

U can get excise , however In delhi it seems to be difficult
also if ur top preferences are some assisstant posts superseding excise ( which normally ppl give less preference as compared to excise) then u will get assistant post
At this score u can get assistants posts easily.......................
