10. Skill Test in Data Entry (DEST) for candidates in the List-I (other than marked for CSS Assistants) and List-IV tentatively commence in the middle of November, 2012. Even if such candidates do not intend to appear in DEST, they should attend on the appointed day for documents verification, failing which they will not be considered for any post.
yes first time I was disqualified but the last time I qualified Dest but short in no. so cant get the job in chsl the errors are 5% but regarding TA it is 15% I read it in last year's final result write up.
can some tell posts like ....auditor, accountant, UDC (non intervie posts) also requires DEST or only TA requires DEST....
no all the non int dont require any skill test only TA does
bhaio i have completed my graduation this year. i got my result ( means the result got out and uploaded on net ) well before august but the date of issue on my provisional degree is 13 august 2012 ... plzz reply what would they consider ?

plz don mind, i am the first timer, not have much idea and moreover not so good in typing, i have a speed of 25 wpm...
i don think it's sufficient enough to qualify DEST !!!

@vikash6370 the rules not at all necessary to catch up with speed... if you are getting 25 wpm on websites like typingtest.com n all then you may need to speed it up a bit (if you type looking at the keyboard). try practicing from a book and count how many key depressions you have typed in, say, 5 mins, you should be able to type around 700 to clear the dest. key depressions(INCLUDING SPACE) are almost equal in every line so just count in one line and multiply by the no. of lines you typed. This is what i did to clear it easily last year so just sharing...

it is not enough at all you must work on your typing skills not for DEST but for all time just start typing in word using speed clock word will tell you how many key depressions you type in the time limit

The only way to reach SSC chief is via tweeter, if a majority of people will tweet him abt the option refilling, it may be possible that he might consider it, last time yahi hua tha, but is bar ssc chief has denied d option refilling on tweeter by saying that because of this the result will get delayed by 45 days
