hey Babu, regd the exam fee payment. when i click both alpha and beta, the total comes to rs 1600,ie 800 each. my doubt is-- 1-has the exam fees not been increased to rs.1000 per paper?
2-do we have to pay alpha fees? was it not included in our payment while regstn.
1) New prospectus mentioned that exam fees is Rs 1000 per group. However i have also registered and they are mentioning Rs 800 per group. I think may be we are old registered candidates or in future they might increase to 1000 (Example from october).
2) You are right. You have already paid Rs 800 for alpha at the time of registeration.Hence you should only pay Rs 800 for beta. In case if you have not downloaded the admit card, my advice will be to dispatch email to student services department (ssd). They will reply you back within few hours only.

(experienced people please guide is it feasible enough to give these two groups together.....)
Firstly congrats to Tumtum for completing his CFA and doing very well in his job (although i know its a bit late). Tumtum in which firm r u working these days? (answer this only if it is feasible for u)??:
Also congrats to Babu for clearing his exams (again late to wish). Babu are u living in Delhi? and are u doing MBA? if so from where? and which group u r giving this year?
As me too from delhi n pursuing my MBA-Finance from here only and at present doing my summer training.

Welcome dude.
One thing which i need to tell you is that you can not give gamma and delta together. Infact if you do online registration then it will only give you option of appearing for Gamma. Once you clear Gamma, then in case if you want you can do delta and epsilon at one go.
Giving both groups at one go (Specially L 2 and L 3) can be taxing. However it depends upon on you..factors like how much knowledge you already have, how much time you can invest etc.
I am from delhi and i am not doing MBA. Right now concentrating on CFA and then later on next year CIIA.I am giving beta and gamma in July.
From where you doing your MBA and summer training?
Stay in touch and as you rightly said,we all can help each other by motivating and clearing each other doubts.

Hi ! We have a very quick service. Here is my personal opinion:
Now you have registered for CFA, you should go ahead and clear your CFA. It is recognised qualification and you can always work in finance with this qualification. You have 7 years to complete CFA.
The best thing is that lets assume you clear Level 1 in say 15 months or 18 months, you will be awarded Diploma in Finance. Now that will surely help you to put an impression on recruiters. I know recruiters will be from export houses but still it helps to carve out a niche from masses and take a lead.
After completing L 2, you get Advanced Diploma in finance. Your effort does not get wasted.

First let me Thank u 4 such a prompt reply , But what I really wanted to know that in terms of subjects or course content will I find ny relevance with my MBA. It is only after coming to this forum I came to know that CFA is also such a sought after degree nd is so difficult to complete thats y I am feeling shacky in starting it. Hope u understand what I mean cause my main degree will always be MBA nd will I be able to give justice to both the degrees is also seems questionable. Plz nybody with same proflile or experience help:( 😞 .
well shakti cfa and mba can be a grt combination u will have a hell lot of opportunity in finance field but have to decide whether u can do justice to both things or not bye and atb
You are not allowed to take your own formulae book. The same Formulae and tables book which you have got will be kept in the examination hall and you need to use that. For every 55 students (average) in the hall, there will be around 6-8 formulae books :satisfie:

MBA International business and CFA are different. There will be no relevance in terms of subject or course content.
