But till where i know,ICFAI is not providing CFA ,at the end of the course students will be given MS(finance) certificate instead of CFA.For CFA again we need to appear for the exam after completing MS(finance).

Even i m planning to pursue CFA from ICFAI,but this is where i got stuck.

I am doing my CFA from ICFAI, Hyderabad. The recent issue regarding the Delhi High Court ruling is really unwarranted. What the AIMR guyz wanna do is to build upon the brand and market that ICFAI has already created in India and abroad. Now this really shows the value of the program offered by ICFAI. My experience in this regard is that the Program offered by ICFAI is of International Standards as the curriculum is updated regularly. We are really happy to have enrolled in to the program. The recent Delhi High Court ruling is simply the bad effects of Globalization. AIMR wants to simply build upon the reputation built by ICFAI after years of constant strive. The student community in India has very high regard for Icfai and its Programs. I believe that there are nearly 75000 students pursuing various programs from Icfai. Now, this shows that the quality of the programs as well as the support provided by the Icfai management to the Students. dude , seems like u r living in a dream world . I really admire ur loyalty towards ur institute and I, in no way intend to demean ur institute. But making such unrealistic claims would do no good to u and to ur institute.
I do agree dat ICFAI hyd. is one of the fastest growing busines school , but it has a long way to reach upto the level where the IIMs are . And as far as d CFA controversy is concerned , I really appreciate tumtum's post . Btw saw d ICFAI's CFA course content and it seems like a really good course for sum1 who wants 2 specialize in finance . :thumbsup: so all d best puys

Myself being an alumnus of ICFAI, I feel that undoubtedly ICFAI courses are packed with a lot of punch but when it comes to being rated at par with IIMs....we stand nowhere.

Facing the truth will do us a lot of good....making tall claims and unrealistic judgments will get us nowhere.

All said and done....ICFAI is definitely value for money but still has a long way to go.

Hi,

I have completed Micro Economics Text Book and Work Book and it have made sure I understand every thing. It took almost 30 days.

Now, I am doing Macro Economica Text Book. It is quite good and interesting. But I am finding it tougher than Micro Economics and hence consuming a lot of time almost double than before. I study for 2 - 3 hours daily. But with such a speed I am afraid whether I will ever be able to complete my studies on time.

I have also heard that Economics is quite dificult to understand and hence takes more time than other subjects. Is it true ? This was also the case with me during my B.Com studies.

Will I find other subject also the same difficult.

One more thing, you also said that I should do previous papers also, but from where should I get them as I could not get them on the website under my login as the website said "no question papers available for this group".

Please also tell me how different are the question papers from model papers in terms of difficulty etc.

Please guide me how I should plan my studies for the rest of four months as the exams start from 7th January, 2007.

Please note that I am able to understand the concepts very well but take more time to understand

Please help me.

Hi Nice to know that you are almost done with MS finance, Myself also appearing for group Theta, I need some past papers (if you are having with you) , I would need FCIS paper
