Ur Rank seems on the lower side. Slim chances of getting the call.
But u may fill the form and be sure to accompany it with an impresive SOP.
U never know u may get lucky 😃

Some of the requisites which is giving me some trouble amidst certain unavoidable busy schedule-

1. Application form NOT attested by any Gazetted Officer
2. Xerox of Marksheets not attested by any Gazetted Officer
3. Work exp certificate of Previous Employer NOT Attested by any GO
4. For the work exp proof of current employer- I can send 1 or more of xerox of my Joining Letter, Latest Salart Slip, Employer Certificate (w/o the purpose mentioned over it). But, again, none of these will be Attested by any GO
5. Even the JMET Rank Card's xerox is not attested by any GO

Now, should I, anyway, send my application at all ? It is unfortulately NOT possible for me to get them attested from anywhere.

My Rank in JMET ~ 513. And, I do not want to get my application rejected just on the ground of Non-attestation of the forms.

Seniors at IIT-M,
I do respect the admission process laid down by the insitute, however I will not be able to fulfill the Attestation part of it.

Plz suggest.
I have to courier the application by EOD.

do i need the original letter of exp form company or is the attested copy enough?? i got only one letter annd i need to submit it to 3 instis..

pls advice.

Instructions for filling this form:
* For items 9, 11 and 12 you must submit attested copies of the corresponding documents along with
your application, where applicable.
1. Either TYPE or WRITE the entries on the form neatly.
2. Please attach copies of detailed mark sheets of all semesters/years of the qualifying degree along with
the application.
3. Please do not staple the application form. Please use gem clips.
4. Please do not fold the application. Please send it in A4 or larger sized cover.
Applications will be valid only if all instructions are complied with.

9 is Category...11 is Academics and 12 is work ex...where does it say that we need to attach the JMET scorecard or get the JMET score card attested by a gazted officer...

Seniors pls clarify as i need to post the form by EOD!!!

You can call up our office at 044 22574550 or mail at [email protected] to find out if your form has reached or not.

Sorry. It wouldn't be possible to admit your form without attestation as that is the basic requirement that tells us that your information is genuine. The committee of professors would reject a non-attested form with non-attested particulars. So I would advise you to get is attested before sending it.

No JMET scorecard is not required. Don't worry. Only send in what the form has asked you to.

sir i m in a worry..... i have courier my application wth all the attestation done and complete form.....but some one told me IIT's do not accept couriers.....is it so?? i have couriered it using DHL( Blue dart) will it be accepted plz confrm from institute and tell........

You will be glad to know that 2 yrs abc i had send my applications using courier.

However, if still the doubt persists, you can always call up DoMS office and get your query clarified.

I need some clarification.
i have already sent the form with all the required documents and attestation.

The only thing is my engineering Provisional degree contained marks of all the semesters , so i got that attested as proof of engineering marks.
Though i have also attached individual mark sheets separately but they are not attested :sleepy:..thinking the attested provisional would suffice...Could this be a problem ???
Everything else is attested as desired ...

But, it was unfortunate to know that non-attested copies can not be accepted even in an exceptional circumstances.

As far as I know, anyone can forge anyone's stamp and signature to show that attestation on any document, and nobody is gonna verify this. But, I will prefer not sending the application form at all , if wont be able to get it attested.

By the way, is nt it more convinient to verify the authenticity of just 120 finally selected people rather asking each of the 1000 applicants to get their forms attested?

Anyways, thanks for your help. U guys are doing great here helping lots of candidates.

Sure its common sense, and I can assure you that common sense its not very uncommon as far as our profs are concerned. You dont need to send an attested copy of JMET Rank card with your application, simply because as u said it is a certificate they themselves issue.

This is an attempt by the IIT to keep its admission process as stringent and fair as possible. I believe its gr8 that the staff at IIT M takes the pain to scrutinize all applications that come in so that all deserving candidates are given a fair and equal opportunity for GT/PI. If they were to only check authenticity of the final selected candidates it would be unfair for a few of those who might miss out on a call just because some1 got a call based on forged marksheets. This is an attempt to keep the admission process as fair as possible.

I have a peculiar problem ..

I know I am asking this at 11th hour ..so please don't groan ..

I realized 15 minutes back that I have lost my 1st Sem. marksheet..and it will take atleast 2 weeks to get a duplicate one as I am not living near to my College and it has been more than 2 years since I passed out :(

though I have the remaining 7 Semester marsheets along with a mark transcript which mention all the subjects I studied in my graduation along with marks...can I send a attested copy of those ??

( my II sem marksheet mention my I sem GPA.)

Seniors, some suggestions please ???
