DoMS,IIT Madras -Admission Queries 2008

I have'nt sent my detailed mark sheets of every semester, but a marks transcript which has my marks in every subject, semester wise.. Will that suffice or will there be a problem??

It would have been better if you would have send in detailed marksheets. However, you can call up on 044 22574550 or mail at [email protected] telling about your problem.

Looking at last years trends, you have slim chances of getting a call. But again the call depends on a lot of other factors like your porfile, SOP etc. So I would recommend you to go ahead and apply and hope for the best.

The marksheets have my name on it, but i am worried abt the SOP as it has no mark to differentiate it from the others.
Is this a issue. i wont be in town till tuesday.
Shld i call up the office wen i return.

I am not sure about how the process is taken forward, but logically I believe that they would club all documents from each individual in separate files or bunches, if that happens you should be fine. Otherwise you do have a problem. You should have been more careful dude. Call up and clarify as soon as possible. The number is 044 - 22574550

Generally the short list is out within a couple of weeks of application deadline. So it can be expected to be out in the next 10-12 days. We will try to get a tentative date from the office by monday.

Amit,
Your chances are slim. Last year the last rank to convert IIT M was in 1500s. But please remember that a call depends on a lot of other factors as well, like your profile, academic background, SOP etc. So do apply and hope for the best.

Hi Junta!!!

We cannot confirm the status of ur application till Monday. Since, mother-of-all-cultural-fests Saarang is underway at IIT Madras. And Office opens on Monday.
Have patience till then.
