hey
is mudra gonna list@ 1000+? :

hey will a 1 lac application get firm allitment in eldeiwiss considering it was oversubscribed 17 times ?

When is Mundra's allotment happening and what is the listing date?

Cheers!

For Edelweiss, upto 15 times subscription in Retail segment would have given you firm allotment.. now its a game of probabilities (roughly 15/17 chance of a 1 lakh applicn getting 8 shares)
Mundra Port & SEZ allotment is already thru.. though its registrar's site is down, the shares have been credited to demat accounts (depends on ur demat though, ICICIdirect mein aa gaye hain)..
Wherever it lists (owing to uncertain mkt conditions), it has the potential to go up to 1050-1150 on listing day (rumoured to list on 27th Nov)..

hey
will mudra gonna be 2000 in a years time ? people say it has unique model and lots of landback. somebody help?
my family has been alloted 45 shares in all
shd i sell 15 and hold the rest ?
howz 3i infotech and zuari industry for longterm investment ?

Yes, Mudra has a unique model of business.
Also the Adani group has a great way of doing business
It gets full support from the Gujarat Govt.
Can't say any rate for a year's time but expect some cool off in the listing price as many people will book listing gains.

About 3i infotech,its a gud investment.
As their major clients are financial and banking institutions which is growing at a large pace. Also 3i infotech's US dollar revenue is less than 20% as against 80% of other IT companies. So, not much hurt by Rupee appreciation.

so mudra rocking@ rs 1000

mohit@bits Says
so mudra rocking@ rs 1000

yes it has been a rocker of listing of mudra

but very less people got it and i applied with 2 application but did not got any

and jothy ipo is looking promising also but may not give the magnitude of return that mudra gave and till last day it has been just subscribed .58 times in retail section and today is the last day of applying.

Check out the pic attached.. cant help admiring my judgment/reading 😃 (kabhi-kabhi hi itna accurate ho paata hai in new listings)

whyz empi disteelry@330:wow:

This is something that has fascinated me since childhood. No surprises since it seemed to be the easiest way to make money. But why should u invest in Equity markets where the risks are so high and we have seen investors losing the money?

One rational could be the fact that the inflation is hovering under the 5% mark. Fixed Deposit rates are at an all time low. So FD returns do not cover for the rise in inflation. Last year BSE Sensex gained 83% Can any of the banks beat that?

So with sensex poised to touch the 6000 mark again. Was just wondering what the ppl out here were thinking. What is the prognosis for the future? What are the instruments that ppl follow to track stock markets?

Read an article on how Infosys has created share holder wealth for the investing public
Imagine a retail investor putting in money in the Infy IPO in 1993 at Rs 95 a share getting 100 shares allotted. If he had gone on vanvas and returned back only yesterday these number of shares wld have appreciated to 6400 shares.

9500 Rs -> 3.5 Crores :shock: in 11 years

I have not been that lucky in my investments though 😞 but i also do satta(day trading) just to gamble away money.

But iam sure the current volatility would settle down and the trend is still secular post the elections. What say?

Nice thread.. Interesting..

Any news of Reliance Power IPO.....rumours are around that they are increasing face value to rs10...abb aur kitna time lagega for it to come to market:)

Anyone holding GTLinfra shares?I hold 10 shares of the same.Any views on that(Sell/hold/buy)?

-Deepak.

Wat abt the Mundra Port prices now....It has fallen to 800+ levels...Will it rise again?

-Deepak.

Folks, please refrain for posting buy/sell/hold recommendations only. We are not here to give tips without any credentials. And anyways, credentials also take a backseat in the bull-bear chase.

Lets make this a more meaningful thread.

  1. How to fundamentally analyse a company?
  2. Can someone analyse the fundamentals of a company over here for us and explain why he/she believes we should buy or sell it? Resistance / target levels?
  3. Sectoral Ananlysis, PE and EPS comparisons amongst 5-6 comapnies of a specific sector and how / why is a company more expensive than the other? How to choose which stock to buy from a specific sector?

i think with a slew of infrastructure funds cming mundraport will be a priority in al funds.

is it advisable to apply for ecclerx services and bgr energy for listing gains ? whatz the grey premium ?

Just went thru Monil's post regarding the analysis of the companies and looking into its fundamentals. I really don't know how to analyse a company very deeply... I just have very limited knowledge on the same... But looking into the fundamentals truly holds paramount significance when it comes to investing.

For the analysis and fundamental parts, I look into one website called Indiabulls and for looking into the fundamentals this is the best link Technical Analysis

There are various parameters on which we can analyse the companies while buying their shares and a few of them are:

1. Moving Average
2. Stockhastics
3.MACD
4. Price Volume Trend
5. Relative Strength Index
6. Momentum.

And many others... The above links would give a fair idea on all this. And moreover these concepts could be learnt thru wiki or by googling..

Hope this is helpful...

Regards,
Nish...

Lets take an example of Reliance Communications and look into more detail of it.

Everyone is aware of the telecom boom going on in India. And RCom (famously known for Reliance Communications) has lead the boom to next level. It initiated the low cost calls and cheap handsets sale.

Any share in the telecom space would be an interesting buy as the telecom boom is here to stay. Look at the amount of money shelled out by Vodafone to buy Hutch and look at the investments being made by all players for network, brand building.

Look at the >450 applications which the Govt. has received when they decided to release new spectrum.

Things which are good for RCom
  1. Valuation of FLAG telecom
  2. Demerger of Reliance Infrastructure Towers Ltd(the tower business of RCom)
  3. The optical fibre network RCom has spread across India.
  4. Backing of ADAG group
  5. After strong hold in CDMA business, shifting to GSM business to gain more market share.
  6. New business like DTH and IPTV

1. FLAG telecom which RCom has bought sometimes in 2002 I guess for some $200 million They had turned around the company and had made it worth $1.5-2 billion odd.It bought over Yipes comm. in US also for more undersea cables.

2. The tower business is worth Rs 27,000 crores. And they are looking for strategic investors who can take stake in it and fund the further investment in new towers. They have already some 13000 towers installed.

3. RCom has spread the opticf fibre cable all across 65,000 kms in India which they can cash in anytime. And they planning to use it for broadband, television, telephone, etc

4. Whatever he does, he does it in style. Thats the younger Ambani for you. He has gone crazy starting so many ventures. People doubted at his ability when he got separated from his brother, but he has proven his mettle and he is here to stay. His other group companies are doing great. Thanks to the power and energy boom, his RNRL and Reliance Energy has appreciated like anything. And his Reliance Capital has shown signs of being a true financial behemoth in the making.

5. RCom need to pay Qualcomm some amount of money as license fees. So RCom is reading for GSM challenge. Already it is present in GSM space in states like West Bengal, Chattisgarh, Orissa and NorthEast. GSM has given more ARPU(Average Revenue Per User) to operators. And more importantly it opens the option of shifting handset for the customer unlike the CDMA business.

6. The DTH business has a lot of potential. And the market is still untapped. There are only two players as of now. The Zee controlled Dish TV started well ahead and has a good customer base of approx 2.5 million and the new Tata Sky(JV of Tata with 80% and Star 20%) has garnered around 1.5 million customers in less than 2 years of operations. This shows the amount of growth left in this industry.

About the IPTV business, MTNL has already started the same in some parts of Delhi and Mumbai. RCom has started it on trial basis and will go commercial in the Q4 of this year. They have tied up with MICROSOFT for the same venture.

So, considering all these, one can say RCom is a buy for long term.
