why dont you try for 2 yr courses rather than going for exec-mba.as in exec-mba u need to have min 5years work exp.
In India we can have few best MBA Executive College through distance. This is the better option to compare Full time Executive MBA, here i list my favorite college for distance MBA and executive MBA - Sikkim Manipal University.
Just Visit the Link:-http://www.*****.edu.in
is it true the min reqd for exec is 5 years?!..at all places?..pardon my ignorance!

Looking forward for some help regarding the best executive MBA program suited for me as per my work exp and best approach on how to start with the preparation.
Acads:

10th (ICSE) = 83%
Hi Anshul
Have you applied for executive MBA program from UBS (PU) in chandigarh. Their entrance is next month i believe.i guess that will suit you or you wiling to join exe-mba (weekend) program in delhi colleges too bcaz that will increase ur options..else ISB Mohali may have some executive MBA programs but guess that would be expensive.

Hi All,
As of now there are many people who are thinking to pursue MBA but not willing to quit their job. As me also one of them, I have done a research and found some good options.
- Plan for IIMs if you have more than 5 years of experience
- Plan Symbiosis if you have no experience
- Plan for XLRI satellite program if you have 2 years of experience.
Now I am in dilemma before taking decision.
I have 3 years of IT experience and I am comparing the SIBM and XLRI.
- SIBM offering weekend classes where you need to go to campus where as XLRI is offering weekend video conference classes.
- Syllabus of XLRI looks more attractive than SIBM
- XLRI has more reputation than SIBM
- Fees more in XLRI than SIBM
As both are not offering any placement, we need to depend upon how far knowledge we can grab within this 1 year and how far we utilizing those knowledge while seeking a job.
Kindly provide some good points which will help me to take the decision.
Thanks,
Sitaram
Hi Puys,
By the time i give CAT this year i would have more than 5 years of Work Exp in IT industry.
Following are the queries i have:
1) Should i go for regular MBA (2 years) or Executive MBA?
2) Does placements take place even for Executive MBA's?
3) Is there a different CAT cut off for Executive MBA? Are the cut offs bit less for Executive MBA than regular 2 years MBA? If yes then can some one throw some light of cut offs last year in few top colleges.
4) Which of the MBA type(2 years or Executive) will boost my career?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Sameer
Hi All,
Executive MBA / PGP's can be classified into
a) Full time one year courses. - requires money, risk and facing good competition: good returns in good economy.
b) Part time 2-3 year courses. - requires less money, less risk, negligible competition, lots of hard work: almost no returns in short term due to unavailability of placement cells.
c) Satellite / Certificate programs. - requires some money, no risk, no competition, little work: no returns
Currently available good full time one year courses are as follows
a) IIM A - PGPX - Grad. + 27 years of age + GMAT + RECO. etc
b) IIM B - EPGP - Grad. + 5years of work ex + GMAT + RECO. etc
c) IIM C - PGPEX - Grad. + 5years of work ex + GMAT + RECO. etc
d) IIM L - IPMX - Grad. + 6 years of work ex + GMAT + RECO. etc
e) XLRI J- GMP - Grad. + 5years of work ex + GMAT + RECO. etc
f) ISB - HYD & MOHALI - Grad. + 2 years of work ex + GMAT + RECO. etc
(YLP program does not require work ex at the time of applying)
g) SPJAIN Bombay- PGPM - Grad. + 5years of work ex + GMAT/CAT/XAT + RECO. etc
h) GLAKES - CHENNAI & GURGAON - Grad. + 2years of work ex + GMAT/CAT/XAT + RECO. etc
i) NMIMS - BANGALORE
j) KJ SOMAIYA - BOMBAY
k) IMI - DELHI
l) MDI - GURGAON
m) IMT - Ghaziabad
Pls Note - Above list is no ranking and info. is based on my perception / memory, pls check before you apply and make decision.

Adding further to the list provided
n) Welingkar- Mumbai and Bangalore-Grad. + 5years of work ex + GMAT/CAT/XAT + RECO. etc
o) Adani Institute of Infrastructure Management-Grad. +25 years above age + GMAT/CAT + RECO. etc
p) SP Jain GMBA-Grad. + 2 Years work ex+ GMAT/CAT + RECO. etc
q) IIM Shillong PGPEX- 3+ Years work ex+ GMAT/CAT(Optional, this yr ppl converted even without any scores) +RECO. etc ( The course is in its very first year)
Also few things should be kept in mind while going for Executive MBA
1) Its very difficult to change job profile/field and move to an entirely different field by doing Executive MBA
2) The placemnt process is a rolling one which is time consuming. For some colleges the process continues for some time even after the course ends
Hi,
I am presently working in WNS as a Business Analyst and have an experience of 4 years till date..My academics are average and i have given cat 3-4 times without much of preparation and got percentile ranging from 80-95. Can anyone please tellme which are the best colleges in India for Executive MBAs, their fees structures, ROI, course duration n structure (general or any courses suitable for business research or consulting), placements, and will i have to leave my job for the same? Also i wanted to know that do banks provide loans for executive MBAs, someone told me that there is difficulty in getting loans for executive MBAs.
Also any good foreign universities providing such courses?and their fees structure?
Thanx:)

Since the college is new , i dont think they would have a huge alumni network . I would suggest you to think a lot before joining this course ..
Thanks Abhishek,
Do you have any idea , that how this course will be evaluated in market?
As per my knowledge it is more effective than the correspondence programs and sattelite programs.
Kindly suggest.
