Do you have any idea , that how this course will be evaluated in market? As per my knowledge it is more effective than the correspondence programs and sattelite programs.
Kindly suggest.
Apologizing for the delayed reply
1) Since its a full time course , it will definitely have higher value than other satellite programs or dist programs 2)Beyond the IIMs or XL courses the placement for executive batch is not impressive , most of the times people don't find good enough opportunities which suits their experience and interests
Since you have good amount of experience , i think it will be a too risky a decision to enroll for the course , but then again decision ultimately rests on your interests and personal goals
How is the PGDM Exec (15 month full time) at SIMSR in terms of market goodwill and placement stats? What are the other good exec progs better than SIMSR apart from IIMs, ISB, XLRI and SPJIMR? Pls guide
Can anyone throw some light on Exec PGDM (15 months course) offered by NMIMS Bangalore??? I want to know about the course value in the market, the faculty at NM, placement assistance and the placement scenario there. I am looking forward to take admission there next year.

1) Since she is a 2011 pass out , she is eligible for 2 year MBA , Rankings
You can check PG Rankings or check this link out Top 90 B-Schools
2) MBA would definitely help her change her career path .. But typically for executive MBA people need around 5+ years industry experience
Thanks Joideep, so the updated list goes like this..

1 more i forgot to add t) School of Petroleum University-Oil and Gas MBA, 5+ yrs of work ex
AFAIK there is no more good institute to add.
The list can be further sorted in cluster A, Cluster B and C according to the popularity and plcmnts. That will help further.
Puys, need one advice. My profile is as follows: 10th : 85% 12th : 81% B.Tech in Chemical from a decent college in WB: 84% Age: 26+ yrs Work Ex: close to 5 yrs and working as Assistant Plant Mngr in German MNC( Site job)
Need to go for EMBA this year itself as i feel like stuck in this profile and ofcourse want to give a new high to my career. I want to go for MBA this yr itself as times are unpredictable. My personal and family conditions for the time being are favourable enough to support my education for a yr and it may not be the same nxt yr.
Post MBA i dnt want to shift to IT/ Finance etc. As i am from the core industry and i knw tht profiles offered here at higher posts come with lots of recognition, variety of responsibilities, good pckg, good demand( tht is not run of the mill type like IT, Banking etc). So i basically want to move to higher roles in core industries like oil, energy, infrastructure, operations, research/ consulting etc.
I had offers from Great Lakes( didnt take up as i found most of the companies visiting are IT and excepting IT there is a small pool of profiles to choose from), SP Jain GMBA and IIMS PGPEX( didnt take up as i was not having clarity about the course structure, didnt want to move out of india and fees were too high).Couldnt attend IMT Ghaziabad i/v for professional reasons. Finally after a lot of brain storming i have settled for MBA-Infrastructure Mgmt in Adani Institute Of Infrastructure Mgmt as it was serving my selection criteria. I am confident of my plcmnts irrespective of economic conditions. Another reason of selecting sectoral MBA was that in 1 yr its hardly possible to cover all topics of general MBA very well, instead it is good enough to concentrate on a particular sector, especially if the sector is of my interest and has good scope in future. Also sectoral MBA is making its place fast.
But have suddenly started thinking about the decision again, dnt knw why whn all things are falling in place. I have now got offers from KJ Somaiya and Welingkar Mumbai(i/v pending but will crack it no doubt). The problem is again that these two courses hv general MBAs , so i dnt knw aftr 1 yr MBA whr i will land and there is no clarity of plcmnts. KJS executive MBA is in the 1st yr only. Only advantage of these 2 programs is the low fee. I am getting confused a bit. Please experienced puys tell me what will be best for me now and also let me know if i have gone wrong somewhere.
TIA Sorry if the post was too big, but i needed to explain my situation.
My registration is a new one but PG has always been a point of reference for me. A big thanks for all the help so far..

Hi Joi,
Good that you are aware of what you want to do.
You may also try SPJain PGPM since it has an edge in Ops, IIMC has dedicated program for people from core manufacturing industry, pls check if that serves your purpose.
Is that 1 year MBA is equivalent to 2 year MBA course? Please guide.
No they are not, as of now in India 1 year program can't qualify to be a diploma or a degree, technically speaking its a plain certificate done Post Grad.
