Foreign languages anyone?

Hey Uday and Neha !!

Thanks for all the updates which you people are giving me. Uday, I guess if you wish to learn a language then you need to give at least an year to get a proper command on it and yes you are right Instituto Hispania is the only institute, there is no much choice, if you want to go for Spanish.

Neha, I had been to BVB 2 months back that time I was thinking of learning French, I also had a word with some students over there, they only told me that BVB is only good if you want your course to be recognised, however, if you really want to get a good command over French then they suggested me AF.

I am still bit confused which language should I learn. It seems you can not learn Japanese and Spanish perfectly over here but Frech you can certainly learn at AF.

What you guys say??

Thanks
Reema

Bang on! πŸ˜ƒ From what I've heard, AF is pretty good, and is most definetely recognised as well. It is, after all, supported by the French Embassy. Another adv of AF is they have a lot of centers in delhi, so u might not have to commute as much.

hey Reema,
AF is definitely good fr french. They put a lot of stress on spoken french too..
A lot of my friends learnt french from there n they liked the place alot. Iv been there myself, i gave their exam n got the certificate but i learnt french from somewhere else..
I dont noe if they hv any branches in delhi though, they used to b in south ex, now they'v shifted to lodhi road i believe, check out their website fr details abt the address n courses.. jus do a google search on alliance francais + delhi.. cause i dont remember the website address :)
Also Maxmueller Bhavan is real good if u want to learn german...

Hi Everyone,

Today I had been to the Nihongo Center at Hauz Khaz, and boy I am pretty impressed. I guess it is a perfect place to learn Japanese. I also had a word with some students over there and I have got very positive feedback. I would also go to the JCIC tomorrow at Ferozeshah Road.

Though it seems that it would be difficult to practice Japanese as compare to French, however, it is worth giving a shot. Thanks for your all updates. You people have been a great help.

Reema

hey i didnt even noe abt this place πŸ˜ƒ how did u come to know of it? If u think its good, go fr it. French has bcom too common here, a lot of ppl know french but v few know spanish, japanese, italian etc. My teacher who taught me french knew german and italian too, n he used to keep trying to teach me those too! πŸ˜ƒ He said a lot of ppl would know one foreign language but if you know 2 or more you have a advantage over others..

neha

i would agree that there are not many classes/institution were Chinese is taught. but if you are intrested in learning a new lang, i suggest you learn Chinese. its a lang which is spoken in most of my favourite cities SINGAPORE and HONGKONG. there are many dialects of Chinese lang but you would have to decide on which one to learn.

spanish is a lang to learn. spoken in many countries and growing.

for more information you can log on to iccci website.

spanish is the fourth most popular international language after english, french and german

I have personally learned basics of german language

Bonjour,

C'est un bon endroit.

I have just completed French certification from AF@Pune. I must say that this course is pretty good. If anyone has queries, let me know I can answer.

Is there any scope for learning Spanish in Kolkata , or anywhere nearby ??

Hey Fermions,

I think Esperanto and Spanish are different languages. I have a contact who arranges Esperanto Language Classes in India. Presently it is being conducted in Pune India. I will try to contact him and let you know.
