I'm getting enrolled for a German course at Max Muller ..:-).. might even consider JNU.. which is closer to home and not to mention cheaper..:D
I have done German in school.. even gave my Class X German Boards.. But they don't really teach much in school, just enough to pass the exams :-(... But I suppose it would be a bit of an advantange when I start again..
Try to learn it myself a while back.. Downloaded everything I could get my hands on from esnips, torrents, emule etc.. requires a lot of patience if you try to learn yourself :-|..
Auf Wiedersehen..
Can anyone say till what level we should study a language before putting it on our CV's? Do we have to pass exams on these languages, or simply learning them for fun is good enough? Right now I'm learning Japanese on my own, and enjoying it like hell. I've been studying for two months, and have breezed through one of the introductory books( a pretty easy one, I admit). I've started with Teach Yourself Japanese, from the Teach yourself Series(some of you might be familiar with this series). I suppose I do have an advantage, seeing as I spent 3 years of my childhood in Japan, and so am quite familiar with the langauage. I'm good enough to understand fragments of whatever Anime it is enough that I keep watching. So can anyone advise me about what level its safe to reach before puting it on the CV?

well... according to me... its based upon which type of Industry you are targeting for your future/ career...
Like German and Japanese are considered mainly for engineers... specially who are into Automobile sector they learn any of the these languages...
Similarly, French and Spanish are considered mainly for tourism & hotel industry, fashion & textiles etc...
Please add to it... for other languages...
I short listed Japanese... because its interesting and toughest to learn...
I'm interested in learning French and Spanish. I also want certificates for them. Please suggest some good schools in and around delhi.

HI puys,
Could somebody guide me that when do they induct people vis-a-vis Alliance Francaise, delhi chapter. Was wondering whether they keep on making a new batch as and when they have the required numbers.
Also, the difference one feels when u have an 1 hour lecture each weekday for 4 consecutive days or 2 hours each class on the weekends.
I have mailed to them , but didn't get any reply, hoping a response from you guys.
;)
I've been planning to learn Spanish for a really long time now. Should I go in for a course with Mumbai University (if there is) or the one with Instituto Hispania?
I also know basic Turkish as I was there in Turkey for like 6 months. Does that help? *just keeping some hope*
Regards,
Perseus
