Indian Institute of Science (IISc), the organising institute for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2016, is refunding payments made by the applicants in October last year.
In order to apply for GATE, students need to pay an amount of Rs 1,500 through online banking or e-challan. However, sometimes due to server issues, online payments are unsuccessful and applicants may make repeated attempts for payments.
Luckily for the students, GATE authorities accept only a single payment from them. This means that the authorities are refunding most of the multiple payments done by the students. In case you have not received your refunds, you can contact them with the application ID and all the payment IDs.
Meanwhile, GATE authorities have also released the answer key for students to contest their answers. If any applicant feels that the answer they wrote is correct but is not marked in the answer key then they can challenge the authorities for a fee of Rs 500 per answer. If the countered answer is right, applicant's fee will be refunded by the authorities.
Students can contest their answers on GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS), till midnight of March 2, 2016. Applicants should note that for all disputes about the answer key, the decision of the GATE 2016 committee will be final.

The crux is at the end who knows which set has highest 0.1 % average marks!! Which set has most and which set has least deviation!! Not only average marks but deviation also plays a significant role. So, may b results can come totally different frm wat we presume!!
