ya man even i'll have to pay for XIME...if GIM gives some good result i'll be relieved of SITM panic.

arre thakur....there's no competition ....ur .01 marks better than me and if %le is in 50 marks weightage then u r .005 marks better....plzz humka b ek chance de do!!!

Guys following was my GD/PI experience
Date: 8th march
venue: IIMB
XAT: 96.21%
Qualification: B.B.A,CFA from Icfai
W.Exp:9 months in a financial BPO
I reached the centre at 8.15...only 2 candidates came before me..
Disclaimer: I was not in pink of my health;was suffering from heavy cold and throat infection; which had an impact on my voice quality through out thr process.
GT: Mod: P1: MALE P2:Female ( were same for Interview )
Case study: Abt employee suspected to have AIDS
I think th GT was a gud one with everybody having chances to put forward there point.. I was stammering a lot due 2 the above reasons and even the voice quality not at its best.
Interview:They had a coffee break for 10 minutes before my turn (It was longer than or may be equal to my own interview)
Me: May I come in (after opening the door)
P2:(Smiling face) Yes...Take ur seat and Gud morning
Me(My last smile): Good morning Madam (P1 was having a chat over phone behind the curtains)
P2: I was seeing from the door your were pretty nervous
Me: Yes madam a bit...I am also suffering from heavy cold...so thats adding to my toll
p2: So tell me something abt yourself
Me: Just told 3 lines and was interepted ( when I mentioned that i live in a nuclear family)
p2: why nuclear family
me: gave reasons
p2: but why your father and uncles are still into joint family business
me: gave the reasons
p1( I dont when he came and had his seat):So whats you family business all abt
me: gave the answer
p2: Why you didnt join your family business:
me:I said not much scope for me..blah..blah
p1:So you have done B.B.A, In which area wud you like us to ask you the questions:
me: Finance
p1: so what is finance
me: Answered the same
p1: Explain BEP (Break even point ) in a paragraph ( He gave me a paper and pen to write down thw same and meanwhile he checked my certificates)
p1: What are overheads
me: answered
p1: So if in this room I manufacture 3 diff produts..what wud be my overheads?
me: Sir, Rent;electricity
p1: Good
p2: Why did you live your job
Me:It was getting monotonous blah blah
p1: So why should we select you?
me: Anwered

i jst visited GIM website ..well...after a long time.. and saw in the top right hand corner a link for GD/PI results which when clicked takes to the xat sign in page...
but nothin new is available after signing in...
is it that this link has been flashing since a long time??
any idea as whether they hav given any official date for the results to be out?

Whenever the results will be declared a similar link will be displayed on the same place. So keep watching the site from march last week.
Last year the results were declared on 20th march.

Hey Neha ... wanted to know more abt GIM hostel (incase i make it to GIM that is) ... website says there are 3 types .... single / double / triple occupancy ones .... how is tht allocated to freshers .... do we choose d type or its the college tht allocates tht to us .... or is there some specific allotment to freshers and seniors..... how does it work .... i have no clue ... wud really appreciate if u cud elaborate on tht plz Neha !

There are 5 hostels OT, HT morgue, Admin, and LH. Hostel rooms will be awarded to juniors on a first come first serve basis... all 3 types of rooms are available single, double and triple but i guess there are only 2 single rooms in HT. Seniors have specific allotment of rooms and we have been already alloted the rooms according to GIM rules....
Morgue is not available as it already filled up...
LH is for girls but one section on ground floor can be allocated to guys... that depends upon the number of girls that come in....

No the allotment of room takes place on the basis of arrival in campus... If you reach earlier you get a choice to pick the rooms you want to... Wait for the results to be out.. whole process will be explained to the call getters
