Good to see so much activity on this thread.
I was looking through the experiences regarding the choice of coaching centers for GMAT posted on this thread. There seems to be no clear winner. The only institute that had an edge was Princeton.
But during my search I came across this link

Does any of you have any idea about Kaplan?
Any online coaching or videos offered.
I prefer to join coaching for regularity and practice with a peer group.
Most times if the faculty is experienced they would suggest tips for solving quant problems quicker.

PM means Private Message.
Instead of putting ur private info like phone no.s, mail ids and any other private talks in forums, PG has provided a PM option for all such activities.
If you want to PM any user, you can simply click his name on the post he/she has made to go to his/her profile and in the 'contact info' tab in profile view, you are given a option to send a PM to that person.

Just concluded my actual GMAT. Got 750 😃 (Q50, V41)
I would recommend all of you to brush up your maths concept well. The questions had a uniform misk, with an added emphasis on number systems and geometry. The first 15 questions were very easy but after that the difficulty level gradually increased and my 27th question took me around 7 minutes :(......I had 6 questions remaining with just 10 minutes to go. Obviously I panicked and must have got a number of questions wrong in the last. That's why my advise is to develop a proper time management while taking the GMAT.
The overall difficulty level of verbal section was uniform. I was getting annoyed as I did not get a single bold faced question. The concern that I may be doing a lot of errors kept perturbing me. But when I saw the score, I realized that all these conceren were unfounded. Take the test with a cool head and do not let speculations waver your attention.
My scores in various tests is written below (In case anyone is interested)
Powerprep1 = 690
Powerprep2 = 740
Kaplan 1 = 550
Kaplan2 = 610
Kaplan3 = 660
Kaplan4 = 640
Gmatprep1 = 700 Retook it 770
Gmatprep2 = 700 Retook it 750
Manhattan1 = 550 (Was slightly conctipated
)
Manhattan2 = 660
Manhattan3 = 720
Manhattan4 = 730
Manhattan5 = 780
Manhattan6 = 760 (on the eve of GMAT)
Took a couple of princeton review tests too but found them quite easy.

This forum really helped me a lot in breaching the coveted 700 mark. The PG meets organized by Naresh helped me make some great friends and mentors. I was really lucky to find such a serious study group.

Hi I'm a newbie on pagalguy. I've been working as a functional consultant working for a product based company for 2 and a half years now.
I want to give the GMAT and I haven't yet decided when because I do not know anything about it. I had given the CAT 2006, but I never looked at the option of GMAT.
Now that I'm in the US, i plan to work on it. Can anyone please tell me the GMAT procedure and how to prepare for it?

as far as i know, preparing on your own would be the best option,
however you need to make a plan stick to it.
If you are unable to do so, coaching is a good options.
