Hi Puys,
I am planning to take GMAT in the Last week of July 2012 and now decided to start taking the coaching from Manhattan Review,Kukatpally.

Hello,

I am planning to start GMAT preparation, so would like to know which books will be the best to start. I am looking for a book with the concepts as well as practice problems for both QA and Verbal.

Please advise!

Thanks! 😃

There are tons of books available, but its not advised to start doing all those books without identifying your weak areas. Also, the GMAT Preparation books are pretty costly (If you buy and don't download!)

Few books which are must have:
1. Official Guide 13th Edition
2. Aristotle SC Grail
3. Manhattan SC Strategy Guide
4. Manhattan guides for quant. Even if you're good at quant, the DS section might be little different than traditional prob solving. These books come handy for that
5. PowerScore CR Bible
6. No specific books for RC, but RC 99 should be a good practice book apart from OG

I found MGMAT, Kaplan and of course GMAT Prep tests very good and closer to actual GMAT!

Happy learning 😃

Could anyone please advice on a good coaching centre for verbal in Hyd?

Hi,
I reside in the Kondapur area of Hyderabad. I know many have quoted self prep is better, but I want to join a coaching class as that would allow me devote dedicated time. Anybody having experience with any of the following coaching classes:
1. Manhattan, Madhapur
2. Princeton Review, Madhapur
3. RACE Education, Jubilee Hills

Or any other good coaching class around Madhapur/Kondapur.

Hi Puys,

I am on the lookout for really serious GMAT aspirants with the intention of forming a study group. As I am working, I would be able to devote quality time on weekends (around 8-10 hours) on preps. I intend to take the GMAT early next month. I have already started my preps.

Please feel free to get in touch with me if anyone's sailing on a 'similar' boat.

Cheers

You can start off with Official guide to GMAT.
Prior to that take the Dialgnostic Test to know the areas you need to focus more on
I have started off this way
Hope this helps

Please guide me to a good Verbal tutor in Hyderabad.

Thanks

@[541819:Rajesh69]thanks rajesh. I have taken the quants and DI area test from the first part of OG11. I will be proceeding with other sections soon. It seems so funny that some problems used to be a cake walk during college and we need to scratch our heads for these now. Thanks for replying. Can we stay in touch and keep updating each other on progress?
