Hi my interview was on 24th at Coimbatore at 11.30pm.when called for interview after verification of documents time was around 4.15. There were 4 men in the interview panel

hi ibpsguruji namaskar, i have a query
scenario 1: suppose a reserved category candidate(sc,st and obc) has a score of 165 and has opted PNB as his 1st choice and the general cut off for PNB is 175 and reserved category cut off is 170 (which obviously will be because no of general candidates in higher tws bracket are more nd reservation policy og govt of india to protect the rights of unpriviledged citizens of our country). Then according to your explanation he will not fight for general cut off and will fight in his own category and get his seat, hope i am right till here. If i am then this proves that all reserved candidates with high scores would prefer to get their preference by fighting in theiw own quota rather than fighting with unreserved quota and losing their preference just to eat one seat for a general candidate.
Scenario 2: suppose a reserved category candidate(sc,st and obc) has a score of 150 and has opted Punjab and sindh bank as his 1st choice and the general cut off for PSB is 148 (just a hypothetical case) and resreved cat cut off is 145 . Then according to your explanation he will fight for general cut off and will get allotment from general quota is this what you want to say (provided there are no general category candidates with a score above range of 148.) So how does it matter to a general candidate whether in this case he takes seat from gen category or reserved category, and if there are gen candidates above 148 then according to merit a general candidate will be selected since it is unreserved category a candidate with high score will be selected. so its better for reserved category to fight in his own category and get an allocation because of low cutoff in his category to maximise his chances
Moral of the storey in both the cases, a reserved category with high score would fight in his own category to get a preferred bank and a category candidate with low score will fight in his own category to get at least an allocation because cut off in his own category will be less and more chances of allocation.
Hope this clears all doubts rearding reservation system and one more thing we need not bother about reservation allocation because this time its going to be a computerised allocation and if ibps has made right set of programs for allocation it wont be any problem for any category candidates. so best of luck to everyone.

it depends on certain conditions.
for ex- an OBC candidate= UR rank 300. OBC rank=1
so, he will not get PNB as per UR cat. but he can easily get it if OBC cat. is applied.
hence it will fall in OBC quota and there will be one more seat for UR cat.
dats'y in some banks cut offs of OBC becomes higher than that of UR cat. so Cheers !!!
@imlavmishra bt dese all assumsions r based on written only wid full strength...in final merit many factors r dere...like no of apsantees, even intervew marks cn change a place of one person' marks upto 10 marks more or less......
