how wud be the case study writing b4 gd?? is ther any standard procedure in writing or they have a format in which we need to fill?? kindly reply guys..
@[355104:amitguptaujj] a concept based case study of e hospital and a trade credit to support the new industry in india which is looking for a expansion in the indian market, their projected revenue for 5 years is given, amount of loan they are looking for, and other details are given in 3 pages. beased on the information you being a credit manager have to make a decision whether you would finance the project or not with valid and logical arguments. the case study was interesting one but to complete the case study, analyzing it and writing your points on a separate page which will be submitted and evaluated by moderator in just under 5-7 minutes makes it very very challenging. so my suggestion to everyone here is to have a cursory view of case study, highlight on the numbers and be prudent to check the question first and then find your answers, if you start reading the case study word by word you will be gone and cannot contribute to gd efficiently. so be quick and upto the mark, hope this should help you..... I also got the same case study.A hospital wants everything online and on phone. Doctors prescribtion,medical records,treatments everything.
In case of data - Revenue estimates for next 5 financial years, Profit estimates for next 5 FY were provided. The organization wants loan of ~22 crores.You as a banker needs to decide if you will provide loan ornot.
Based on the data and potential in the internet savvy market in India, there is huge pontential and great market to cater the medical industry into more technical way. Thats how I turned this out into the GD, Try to initiate as it was a very easy case study, think of 5 points initially. You will be provided with 10 min to read and write. Everyone ended up writing only 4-5 lines, so dnt worry much about that. Just wirte the points which you think hsouls be based on the case study provided and throw your 4-5 times in the group. Your group should discuss your points. I did this and 7 out of 10 from my GD group was selected.
For PI, they screwed me as I was unable to satisfy them about why Banking Industry and why only this program.Though I gave them my view points but it was was not satisfactory for them as I was interviewed hardly for only 15 min. Dnt be stiff on why only corporate banking (it was with my case) rather you should say I am flexible for any of your domain but my preferences are X/Y/Z and you are open to relocate anywhere. I put my conditions which you should not while in your PI.

@[109565:soni2k] hi where did you give ur gdpi, mine was in delhi, in fact i was also grilled on a shift from a retail to banking and finance and to your surprise they started giving me suggestions to go for specialized retail programs and then move on, it was basically a test of my interest and determination towards the NU MBA program, i had a small argument with the HR also on some point which i should have avoided, i think it would be difficult for me to make it to the final list as the competition is huge and i didnt perform in PI as per my expectation. i have an observation that they are mostly looking for engineers working in any industry,IT guys, and people from banking and finance background. candidates from other backgrounds such as sales and operations, retail or any other industry have a bleak chances of making it to the final merit list, whats your say puys!!!!!!!!!
@[606038:Rajat_Hyd] total declared time for analyzing the case study and writing your analysis on a separate sheet is 10 mins but beware you dont get more than 5-6 mins for the complete exercise, so be quick and have an eye for detail.
