@[606785:solanks] i think most people from IT not able to join, as ICICI ask resignation letter and experience letter before joining course but in some companies 3 months is must and should so i think this is the reason to see some vacant seats in every batch.
Yeah true.. ICICI is selecting not more than 100 students for every batch..
@[561421:mba85pag] I have friends doing this course currently and I have clear confirmation from them that the %age of students in their batch is not 30%....ICICI employees have their own performance ratings to meet even before becoming eligible to apply for this course...even if they do consider ICICI employees, I will not get disappointed by it bcoz the course is provided by ICICI and giving preference to its own employees is a good corporate ethic...FYI please note I am not an ICICI employee...
Coming the your comment on the graduation stream ... all my friends doing the course presently are from non-engineering background...few from finance, few from bio-technology and one was a physics lecturer....
@[602194:murali603] i was also asked relocation questions..but that doesn't guarantee a selection brother!!..fingers crossed.
@[555194:revanth99] ya it should'nt be that way..if it is,its a real sad situation!!will try to confirm that from someone already on the programme.
Even i was asked abut relocation questions, whether i have any relatives working for the bank and what stream i want to get specialized in? these questions are most common to most of them..and this doesn't guarantee the seat..

heard that from the forum...and also have seen many ICICI guys in the GDPI
result kab tak aaega ???
koi bataega
... so that agle competition ki prep start kare

@[561421:mba85pag] i totally agree with you.intake after admission test was quite high..cut-offs should have been higher, doesn't makes any sense if you are calling every second guy to GD/PI..there should be some filtration, even in GD i saw 8-9 people getting selected out of a batch of 10..i mean do they really want to interview all of them?that left on an average of 10-15 minutes per candidate..hardly enough time to elaborate.
anyways ATB to all you guys..lets wait for results.

on an average i guess around 50+ were interviewed today,i finished off early was third on the interview list...weather was good had a beer, chilled out and forgot everything.
believe in karma.."what goes around comes around".

in Hyd we got time to talk with HR..
We asked him about result, he said they will announce it by End Of Aug only
For April batch it took 17 days for results to come out after PI...as the people attending the PI is more this time it may take longer..
Hi, this is my date with the selection process in Chennai on 10th Aug.. went to the venue by 9.30a.m, there seemed to be around 100 people. Got registered by 11.30-11.45am, i was the last person to register and was involved in the last batch of GD...
The documents needed during registration were:
1. 2 copies of resume
2. 2 photos
3. Your call letter from ICICI
4. Degree marksheet photocopy(remember to provide all semester break up marksheets)
5. Copies of 10th and 12th marksheet
6. Your offer letter from all organisations worked till now
7. Proof of experience that you have 3+ years of work experience (offer letters of organisations alongwith payslips recently received will suffice)
8. Address and ID proof
GD batch comprised of 10 persons , with 5 of us getting through. Topic of GD was Pearly cement vs Cement corporation. The discussion started around 1pm.
I made two points and spoke for a minute with stress on why the bank should extend loan to cement sector (since other persons mostly concentrated on why the bank should provide loan to XXX corporation)
Hand -eye movements and personality traits are looked into during GD.
Listening and providing opportunity for others to speak , appreciating others' views and then putforth of views works better.
GD results were announced by 1.40pm and then lunch was offered.
My PI was at 5.20 pm and went for around 20minutes.
With background in IT and worked as technical (java and sap), functional analysts ( CRM role in organisations, a panel of four in a very spacious room asked the following questions:
1. My introduction
2. Why Banking, please dont answer as you are interested, etc. We would like to know your frank opinion (probably because i was the last guy to be interviewed on that day)
3. What do you think about IT industry and difficulties being faced by it in recent times
4. Any interests in asset analysis, stock markets , etc
5. What do you intend to do with NU MBA of ICICI bank after clearing the 2 years on a high
6. Technical questions on SAAS, SAP-sybase, etc.
7. Passion in hobbies and how my passion helped in my daily worklife at office
8. My native
9. What would i consider as a big achievement in life till now.
10. The bench strength (people who are idle) that is lying now in my organisation
11. Ready to relocate
12. Ready to take up finance
13. How good are you at maths
14. How good are you in getting along with people.
15. Got any relatives in ICICI.
A warm handshake and then thanked everybody and left the room. This is my experience.
ATB guys for interviews and for final call from ICICI.
