more than 1700 calls are given for 180 seats...so competition is quite intense...don't take anything lightly now!!!!

I think a good revision of acads is important to do well in the interview for admission to IIM-I.
As for the Interview form, it can be a bit painful to fill but as you would be filling other forms too, it shouldn't be that big a problem. From the little that I know from talking to people, things are asked from the form only if there is something different. In the group which got interviewed with me, one of the candidates were asked questions on each of the subjects in the marks list of his first two years of engineering.
We can never be sure of what one is asked but for Indore one can safely say that one has enough time inside the interview to make or break one's case for admission

So its a despo situation for me... can you please guide me how to gear-up for the second round?? and what actualy shall be my concentration for Interview... Do you have any idea as to what are the factors that actualy will be taken in to consideration while giving final calls by IIMI??

Congratulations for getting the call.

Go to the following thread to read last year's IIMI GD/PI experiences. You ll come to know which areas to focus more for 2nd round.

Foremost factor that is taken into consideration for final calls is your performance in GD and PI. Then, other factors like the batch-profile the insti. has decided for this year and to very little extent, performance in CAT. I mean there's no disadvantage for junta with low percentiles but extremely high percentiles might have a little edge.
Rest assured, if your gd/pi performance is decent, there's no stopping you from converting calls. Give it your best shot; crack the intvws. All the best.

Last time we were asked a specific question about one event in our life which was challenging/different- a description of the problem, how we tackled it and the lessons/attitudes(anything else you can put here) learnt.
It would be useful for you with your work-ex to put across some instance at work which would enable you to talk a lot more about the work you have done. The basic idea of the form being to enable the interviewers to ask you questions, so you might as well write about things you are comfortable talking about.
As for SOP, I think you get asked a question about what you want to do after MBA, and to answer the question do put some thought and write and I guess you would be having a pretty good idea with your work-ex.
And there will be also be a question as to what if you don't get into a b-school this year.
PS: all of this is under the assumption that you get a similar form to last year.

Economic Times had this article on CAT , which said that Indore is issuing as large as 1700 calls for 195 students...
To the seniors, I wanted to know what is the percentage of freshers (with science stream)...and being from science stream improves my chances or deproves?

Here is my piece of advice for all the call getters...
Form, as said by Kool, is really comprehensive...they will try to know you almost inside out through the form...so please start thinking about the questions like Why MBA and Why Management(yeah both are different things), greatest achievement, most difficult situation you have faced and you tackled it, strengths,weaknesses right away...all these questions cannot be answered by anyone else...you yourself have to think about the answers...and remember no answer is right or wrong...you just have to know how to justify your answer...ask innumerous questions to convince yourself about the answers...
regarding the GD, they give a case to be discussed in the GD...primarily team skills, analytical skills and leadership skills are checked in the GD...the case most probably will be one page long...my case was on a man worrying whether to let his son do MBA or not...he was not exactly happy after doing his MBA...as far as i remember we had around 15-20 mins of airtime...
Interview-guide your interview if you get a chance...interview, most probably will on acads, extracurrics and general awareness...most of it will be based on the form which you have filled up...so be thorough with whatever is written in the form...no scope of contradiction or vagueness...they will pounce on you like an eagle...
Finally, form, i would say is the most important thing...it is like your resume...so give ample amount of time to fill your form...
and please don't worry about the profile of the students Indore takes...they may change the batch profile if they find really good canditates...so no matter if you are an engineer or non-engineer or work-ex or fresher...give in your best...our and senior's batch profile is completely different...
Indore has given 1715 calls to be precise...no idea about number of seats...we as such don't have any information about increase in seats...so take it as 180 for time being...

DD!!!!....crack maar diya :thumbsup:, don't worry thr are people who inspite of doing everything right...were not able to clear thr calls...where as many with excellent acads like ours managed to clear all the calls or some of them...give your best shot and you will get thru...
and talking about of odds of not converting any of the calls due to acads will always be there..so don't take these calls lightly
