hey folks
my indore interview was a week back but been busy with project stuff
was in the same GD group as tdubey so same details apply
there were three people.. one sardarji devoted exclusively to tech.. asked me about hdtv, working of standard tv, what are emwaves., amar bose.. world space reciever.. another asked me about general knowledge stuff.. telecom sector etc.. third one reviewed my certs and asked loads of q's on them. like i attended a contest conducted by XX foundation.. he'd ask what that foundation does who XX is etc.
those i guess you can't prep for but everyone (esp CS ppl) were given a good grilling on concepts in subjects we had..
G'Luck all
Sanskrit is an Indo-European language that originated in Central Asia/NW frontiers of the subcontinent.
Almost all Indian languages are derived from it except for the dravidian ones.
Kannada certainly derives failry majorly from Sanskrit, don't have much idea abt the other Dravidian languages.
one_step_to_insanity SaysKannada certainly derives failry majorly from Sanskrit, don't have much idea abt the other Dravidian languages.
the only true dravidian language is Tamil. it is also supposedly the oldest scripted language in the world.

Nope. Not at all.
As far as I observed, GD seating arrangements were based on CAT registration numbers. In our interviews, people were called according to the order of seating in GD. If there is a change in the order, it could be for breaking the boredom of doing similar interviews for people from similar background than anything else.
Don't let such trivials bother u.
well here's is my indore experience-(actually indian social institute,delhi)...had it on the 4th..sorry for putting in so late...
Case study:around 8 ppl to discuss a case..time-5+15+5(for written summary, but i think they actually gave us around 3.5mins)...
our case was the same as someone from bangalore has already put up-the one abt the ceo wanting the son of the cfo of the sister concern as part of his administrative support staff..committee disapproves of the guy as he talks in monosyllables throughout his interview n selects three other ppl..chairman still wants him..forms a new committee n gets him selected..what should the old committee do?
each of us had the same pts...with nothing new to add,we summarised every now n then...so all of us had plenty of scope to say all we wanted to say..as noone had anything new to add after 7 minutes into the case..we were all very glad to give each other a chance to speak..no fish market..vey cordial display...
As far as my performance is concerned,i had fun in the case study..i made a lot of entries..gave decent points,i think..but nothing very out of the box..i had got the centre seat...so i was generally looking at both sides nodding along, agreeing, disagreeing, but i was spoken to a lot..i felt as if i was chairing the discussion...
neway, abt the interview,we were being called randomly...
there were the same three ppl(left-L,Right-R,Centre-C) who were there for the case discussion...my interview was okay..let's c..
after the good morning and sit down..

C-tell us something abt. social welfare maximisation...u have a subject called public finance this year don't you!!(he must have seen the expression on my face)
me-yes sir,we do have a subject by this name...haven't really started learning for the exams..they are still one and a half months away...(with a sheepish grin)
C-you say you want to pursue advertising, why?
me-blah..blah
L-ur favourite print n tv ad?
me-amul(print)-creative dimension to current affairs...each person has one gr8 idea in his life but to put your msg across thru what's news,is most difficult to do...blah blah..hutch,cadbury's,nescafe,sbi pension funds...analysed every ad..even told them the recent joke doing rounds abt the pappu add(now don't ask me why)n how it adds to the PR...blah..blah..
C-what do you think of celebrity advertising?
me-a celebrity stands for certain qualities...they have to gel with the product..amitabh in boroplus v/s amitabh in the old cadbury's ad with the kid abt the security seal..
R-what abt. shahrukh khan's ads?
me-i don't mind his ads at all,he's my favourite actor(now why did i say that??)
L-what's colour blindness?(???????????)
me-inability to differentiate b/w finer shades of a colour...n some crap abt. seeing in primary colours n not secondary colours(i made it up...uunhi)
R-is it true that women are more colour blind?
L-you see he's slighlty biased against women!!
R-it's a saying!do you know any colour blind women?
me-1.i don't think you can classify the occurence of colorblindness on the basis of men n women..2.i havn't heard such a saying before..3.i don't know any woman who's color blind..
L-you've participated in debates...what's the diff b/w debate,elocution n declamation...

Hi,
I think u r PI was cool, u handled the Qs, very well. U r definitely in. Just one question, were they asked all questions based on the form u filled.
Hrishi
NIRMA
colour blindness isnt the inability to distinguish between finer shades of a colour. Its the inability to distinguish between colours itself. Like red-green colour blindness is the most common form of colour blindness in the world.Green-brown is another form of colour blindness. N no inability to see/not see in primary/secondary colours involved.
And men are 14 times more prone than women to colour blindness.
yes vaibhav,i know i goofed up on colour blindness,i don't know y i did that but then that's me..creativity at it's best...but at the wrong time!!!!:)
Hi,
