well i am from indore and i had given the infy off campus test from the city of delhi on the 19th july.. i had cleared the written test and had appeared for the interview on the 21st of june...

this is for all you people who r abt to join infosys at hyderabad. infy's office is located at a place called gachibowli..almost all th places near the office which are moderate in terms of rents. finding a flat is not difficult either. gachibowli, tolichowki and madhapur are the places preferred by infosys guys..

I was recruited on may 13,2004 thru campus n got a joining date of 19th sep, and now I see ppl getting recruited in may,jun 2005(off campus) n getting joining date in Aug, Can nebody tell me d reason for dat.
It might be the fact that the other ppl who got joining date bfore you must have to be trained more as comparing to you.(this is just a complement). According to my ethics always hope better,and as you got offer letter frm infy : its not a minor thing man, so hope better

dont worry....infy will call u within the next 1-2 mnths only. the reqmt is high here..and this 3mnths mail is wat they send to almost all the people....but if they promise they will call...
i say this with experience...many of the ppl who joined infy with me had got calls in june..but were called only in august.....

well i just want to know weather infosys and wipro recruit students from non CS and IT or electronics branch. well in short i m an ME student and will be in 7th semester. so will i have any chance to be selected in capus for these two companies.
i m in dilemma as my college is government college of UPTU and i heard that they go in NITs and IITs for recruiting other branches only....
help me as soon as possible......

well.....just to clear ur doubt..infosys does very much recruit ppl from non comp sc. background..it is electronics, ME or chemical....with a consistent perfomance of 70% and above in class X , XII and the engg overall score.u can, however, appear for the test in ur 7th or the 8th sem and join only afterthe exams..i.e. some where in june next year.

so jst chill...dnt worry..nd ya..reg they visitin ur campus..its nt tat de limited to Hi FI coll..yar they go even to 1 room colleges..so ur coll gt a great chance bein UPTU!!

Currently infy is looking for Mechanical Guys as their are huge requirement at PLES(all cad/fea stuff).all the mechanical engineers of batches(may,jine,july,august) has been allocated PLES with no choice left.

But there is also a chance of mech guyz being put into ERP technologies especially which involve Supply chain management, Logistics or Materials management.
But, the baseline is "Business Requirements"
