Hi Ida, You are talking about bands - not grades.
The bands are -
B for software enginners (people who join as freshers/1-2 yrs experience. Typically people who have less than 3 yrs of experience.
C - for Project Analysts - who supervise software enginners. A person spends appx 2-3 years in this role.
D- Project Managers - Project Analysts report to PM.
There are bands E and F also as you get further promotion.
U must be in band C. right?

first of all sorry for the late reply but you can still expect a call from infy as they are in desperate need of engineers as we have a target of adding 3000+ engineers in the next three months. if you read this thread you will surely realize that you can get a call upto 2 months from the time of the interview. at this point i will just suggest that hope for the best but also dont depend on it a 100 % so just chill yaar you have done your best now the ball is in their court and if INFY is lucky enough they will give you a final call

I got selected in infy by campus recruitment.eligibility for our university was 68%, i had 68.5% (6th sem) but mistakingly i gave 70% on resume & appln form.will there be any prob for me? But after 8 semesters I ll b getting around 74%

I took up the test on 18 th and attended hr interview on 19 th december at chennai.I belong to non IT/Cs background. Till now i didnt get any mesg from infy. I am waiting for the results.

I am M.S student of International Institute Of Information Technology,Pune Infotech Park,Pune.
I am presently doing my M.S-Advanced I.T (Networking and Telecom) and Infy (Infrasctructure Management Group) Bangalore visited our campus.
I have few queries :
As an M.S along with B.Tech ,can this thing help us at Infy.We had best of courses and we have fairly good knowledge of our field.
Also how is IMS to start the career.Infy people please throw the light.I am B.Tech(I.T) and will be completing my M.S (Advanced I.T ) in June.

i also attended the interview ont the 19th at hyderabad. the interviewer said the results will be out in 4-5 weeks but as i found out it would take upto 2 months for non-IT ppl. keep your fingures crossed and wait for the results. let me know when you found yourself lucky.

This is Mahe. I ve attended infosys interview on 21 jan for exp.ppl. Ive an international offer right now which looks lucrative. Since Infy is my dream company i am jus waiting for the result. Since i have less time to took the international offer i am desperately need my status in Infy.
Can anybody tell me abt approx how many days will infy take to declare the result for exp ppl ? I know nowadays for fresher recruitment they are declaring result in 3 to 4 days. Is that the same for exp ppl also? I request infoscions or anyone else who faced such kind of problems to answer my query.

Hey rahul, thanks for the info. I assume that they have put me in Band-C. The company is yet to send over the appmt letters to my institute (they had come for campus placement in December) so i cannot be sure.
Unfortunately at that time I was not familiar with the infosys 'band' system so I could not ask the recruiting team.

After a successfull interview i got a call from Infosys stating my confirmation abt the work profile and location. Thanx to all PG's.
They told me tht i will be posted in IMS as Application Operational Support. I got 2 years experience in Lotus Notes application Development.
I request Infoscions to thro light abt the career path & opportunities of Application Operational Support to start with. Thanks in advance

Infy will place me down south , while Hughes will place me in Gurgaon ... (of course I`d prefer a place closer home)..
Further more Hughes is obiously paying me more..These two reasons are gud enuf for me to go for HUGHES. However, I ve come across several people, who are of the opinion different from my mine. They feel for a fresher INFY is the Best bet, considering the BRAND name..
Can anyone suggest wht shud be my Pick?
P.S: I plan to take CAT06, can anyone gimme an idea which company wud leave me with more time to study...

Havent you heard people doing MBA after work-ex ( Bless you!!) People have to explain GAP-YEARS and NOT work-ex (NO B-school tells you that you didnt have interest in what you did, so u`ve come to us??..... No B-school asks you when you prepared for CAT...
