Hi Seniors,
I am a newbie on the GMAT front. Just read a post on this thread which says that the ISB adcom performs a profile evaluation.
If any of you could kindly throw some light on the same, I would be grateful.
Does it mean that they have a detailed look at the profile and suggest if one should apply or not? And also mention the areas which require improvement?

Hi Raman,
When one seeks a profile evaluation from ISB adcom, one should think deep and gather all the information that you would otherwise present to ISB in its application. As far as i know they might get u connected with some ISB student similar to your profile so that you can have a detailed discussion with him/her.

That's the regular business my friend. Twist the essays in such a manner that your current goals get reflected and earlier essays are also in line with them. thoda fight hogi but then you have 4-5 months for that. koi help chahiye to hum haazir hain. and i guess you are in mumbai right? daru pe baith ke bhi discuss kar sakte hain

Pakka bhai.. hum LnT aur Delphi k beech mein hi hain Mumbai mein.
Abhi GMAT ka kuch karte hain.
GMAC is releasing a new prep. software on April.. So ideal test date should be in around May.. New GMAT from June 5,2012.
From the horses's mouth.. Atleast the software is worth waiting for.

get hold of manhattan SC, CR bible( the best for CR) and aristotle RC( for practice) . These helped me a lot in improving my verbal, hope they will help you too.
For SC, try solving qsns posted on beatTheGmat forum, and think about the meaning of the sentence before attempting to look for errors.

M getting a chance to go to the US (onsite assignment, no big deal for IT folks really , but there are $$ and exposure and LV ) for 8 or so months.
Should i take it or ditch it? Considering I want to be in ISB nxt year..
All suggestions r welcome.
