If you guys have an Android/Iphone, you can download GMAT flash cards from Android Market/App store.

Manhattan Flash cards for Verbal are good. Their are some for Idioms as well.

M getting a chance to go to the US (onsite assignment, no big deal for IT folks really , but there are $$ and exposure and LV ) for 8 or so months.
Should i take it or ditch it? Considering I want to be in ISB nxt year..

All suggestions r welcome.

you can write one more additional point in ur application.

mustang bhai.... The admission decision will be made based on the current application. .... but wont they even look at previous applications?? I mean if someone's goal itself has changed and now instead of Operations one wants to do Finance (jst for example,

) wont they bring it up in the interview considering he/she gets an interview call even after such a drastic change???

Question from my side is that for GMAT retakers, does ISB take an average of the scores or the latest of the two or the greatest one?

You should endorse it with arms wide open...
1. A welcome change after rigorous appli season
2. Extra bucks in pocket
3. International exp.
4. Chance to have good daru and outing

Anyway, you can always apply and appear for i/v from there

thoda paisa bana lega to schol wala essay likhne se bhi bachega.

Bhaiyon,Sponsor karne k baad mere institute mein 3 saal ka bond sign karna padega with sponsorship amount.. Faculty ki naukri denge hum.

Is Onsite deputation for IT folks considered 'International Experience'?

Anyone can go to onsite after a certain number of years in the industry and with a valid VISA. I think most if not all IIMs applying to ISB would have.

Well, I guess most would have it but the way you project it might make the difference. I don't know much but have heard it from here and there. The quality of your experience matters and that comes from how good you project it in your essay. Please correct if I am wrong. Suggestions welcome. 😃

Yes. Quality always matters.
I heard an IV question which was 'How did you demonstrate leadership qualities while at onsite?' . Most things done there are managerial level.
which brings me to another question..
'What is the difference between leader/leadership and manager/management?'

WIth globalization coming into picture its a routine thing these days so it all depends on you as to how you utilize that stay over there. Let's say you went on onsite and apart from the regular work you started linking up with your college mates in USA. you started an organization that was not there at the first place. Or you joined couchsurfing and started meeting up with the locals to know about the food and culture (and the best case would be that you also started writing your own blogs based on the experience). These are just some of the examples that show how values can be added during foreign visits.
