It is all about what you can project from that experience, working with clients of different nationalities.
At one point of my International stint, my small team of 10 had representation from 7 nationalities, so the diversity at workplace card can be played as well.
IMHO, you should take up the assignment. It gives you better exposure and a chance to earn some extra bucks.

Is Onsite deputation for IT folks considered 'International Experience'?
Anyone can go to onsite after a certain number of years in the industry and with a valid VISA. I think most if not all IIMs applying to ISB would have. :wow:

humein laga ISB k sponsorship ki baat chal rahi hai.
Chai sutta k liye ISB k bahar tapri waale se loan liya jaayega for one year and apni pehli salary se uska loan chukaya jaayega.
Thats what was done in engineering.

Let's say you went on onsite and apart from the regular work you started linking up with your college mates in USA. you started an organization that was not there at the first place. Or you joined couchsurfing and started meeting up with the locals to know about the food and culture (and the best case would be that you also started writing your own blogs based on the experience). These are just some of the examples that show how values can be added during foreign visits.

Stayed in IIT-B for 4 months on an exchange and loved the place 😃 Resembles a jungle IIT-B MBA doesn't rank as Tier-1. I believe it's on par with SP Jain etc. However, if you're aiming for ISB, I personally will advise you to hang in there and give your best for it this year. As Aritro had rightfully mentioned (somewhere, can't remember where
), keep your focus and it will happen 😃 But then, that is my $0.02. It really depends on your post-MBA goals. So, you are the best judge :)Talking about this reminds me... Any of you considered FMS? I did, before I started applying. Their placements etc look decent. And its rank seems to be shooting up as well. But decided against applying in the last minute. Because of... er... poor planning
