Are you able to get these delivered outside India too?
FMS through GMAT is for foreign nationals only I guess. For us, we have to crack CAT from this year as they have scrapped their own entrance exam. BTW, talking about cracking CAT, I am cracking up.
Do you have something against Bombay? Stayed in IIT-B for 4 months on an exchange and loved the place π Resembles a jungle
IIT-B MBA doesn't rank as Tier-1. I believe it's on par with SP Jain etc. However, if you're aiming for ISB, I personally will advise you to hang in there and give your best for it this year. As Aritro had rightfully mentioned (somewhere, can't remember where ), keep your focus and it will happen π But then, that is my $0.02. It really depends on your post-MBA goals. So, you are the best judge :)
Talking about this reminds me... Any of you considered FMS? I did, before I started applying. Their placements etc look decent. And its rank seems to be shooting up as well. But decided against applying in the last minute. Because of... er... poor planning
I am planning for ISB next year whatsoever...and not too keen for IIT Bombay. In fact i never took JMET earlier as well. However, trying for so many times and still things not falling in place , was trying to create options for me..and in the process have confused me quite a bit :(
I do realize the difference between ISB and IIT B MBA. And for a few months the name ISB was dwelling in my mind big time...hence difficult to let it go after one attempt...and hence keen on applying to ISB next year..
However, in the hindsight , WHAT IFs are lurking in my mind...WHAT IF ISB REJECTS ME NEXT YEAR ALSO?....I know its might sound pessimist..but again just specualtiong on probabilities and chances !!
Finally , HEART says ISB, BRAIN creates other options...whom to turn to? I reckon Freud once said , for imprtant decisons in life follow the HEART...

Difficult mess...eh?
For backup options, IIT-B MBA will do just fine :cheerio:
Wait a minute, is JMET the entrance exam for IIT MBA? Good Lord! GMAT, CAT, XAT, JMET -
Puys... I need your suggestion/opinions.. What do you think about IIT-Bombay MBA?
I have 5.5+ yr of experience in IT...Senior developer. Have onsite stint also.
Hows does IIT B, MBA weigh against my prfile? I have the i/v call , but not keen as it is in Bombay :(
Suggestions are welcome!
Dude. First give the interview n get a seat. since you do not have to improve your GMAT, you can focus on the IV. By the time, the actual result come out, you will have your ISB feedback in hand. You can then dcide if it would be ISB again or IIT B.
Bhai, Bombay is an awesome place to live in. IIT B ka campus is HUGEE.The area Powai where IIT is is also great. IITB MBA is top 20 in India (iinclusive of ISB which would be top 5). Post MBA, Bombay is the most common destination. If you are looking for a 180 degree career shift, 2 year MBA is the thing (SJSOM is good for OPS like NITIE).For your experience, just check the current batch profile of SJSOM and find out if thre r any guys with the same profile.

I agree with you on this one!! Awesome place to be in
//Bhai, IIM A/B/C are very good.. But for IIM B , 7 years workex is required..Saw on their site.//
I know this is a wrong thread to ask for it but can anyone post the links for eligibility above courses?
I have another query. How important is the knowledge of finance/accounting etc.(even the basic one) for getting an admit? are applicants supposed to have some?
I have not yet taken GMAT(planning to take it June), here is my profile
12th-80%, Engineering-60% work-ex-4yrs in IT EC- I have started a one time scholarship for poor students from my village(would that count as EC) also I was involved in some quizzing but dont have any good certificates to show, how important is that?

U starting the scholarship ---- definitely a achievement.... not EC....
An EC is such a thing that you pursue as a hobby or are interested about.
