Hi , I got the interview call but unable to distinguish my profile from rest IT profilesGot dinged at IIM Cal though had a decent interview.Any ideas how to distinguish from rest IT ppl

I understand from your post that you have your interview scheduled?

Well, there's no known formula for distinguishing yourself from other applicants. If you believe your work profile is very similar to other applicants', look within your self for personal achievements that may distinguish you - maybe you are a great dancer and have conducted tons of events at college and at your workplace. Maybe you lead a group of dancers and have something interesting to tell there.
As general advice I would ask you to be thorough with your career goals, why MBA, why ISB kind of questions.

If you were asked to work upon any weaknesses during the feedback session, make sure you have convincing answers there.

Guys any idea how many offers will ISB release on the 15th? 375?
Hey Sudhir, I have heard that the number of seats that get filled in R1 is lesser than those that get filled in R2.
@harichids LOL.. where did you hear that from?

I have heard/read the opposite. But here it looks more like luck, so as per the ritual

I am a reapp and i suspect that the number of calls this year are much lower. I think earlier ratio according to some blog is 8:5:1. this year it seems the ratio must be 8:3:1. This is just my hunch. If we go by Sudhir's earlier post that one in two ppl interviwed get an admit it shud be close to 8:2:1

@superfun1234 My whole analysis is based on only 1 fact that total applicants in R1 are 1400 odd... And ISB will in all probability will give offers to 300 odd applicants... Rest all is guess work !!
@sudhir3127 : Mine is guess work too.:) . but i am kind of certain that interview calls were significantly lower this year . Lets hope they roll out atleast 300 admits. I have a suspicion that they might put more people on waitlist as well this year. Lets wait and watch ...
@superfun1234 Any idea how many offers did they roll last year for R1?
@sudhir3127 close to half and they kept approx 25% additional people on waitlist
@superfun1234 one can expect the trend to be same this year. There are 2 additional factors this year: the number of mba applicants has gone done this year globally (i assume the same trend for ISB as well) and the video essay which contributed in decreasing the number of interview calls this year (assuming interview calls were less this year)

can we expect more interview calls for HYD(BLR) Candidates?

hopefully buddy....

did anyone call up the adcom to ask if the interview calls were still rolled out? or its over. any info about the waiting lists. ? I don't know what ISB guys are upto. atleast now they should make it clear whether they are going to send any more interview calls or not.

@isb-puy it is over.... called them up... all calls rolled out...

I think the ad-com just responded on the official admissions query thread saying that all calls are out by now.

@kanusep12 He's mentioned that invitations have been sent out only for 'all cities in India'. Doesn't seem to mention anything about skype calls.

Hi All, I took GMAT yesterday. The score is 660 Q-44, V-38. Should it have been 670 considering the scoring logic?

Hey bro...I really think you should have been called for interview. I wish to thank you for all the help you did to me and to others too. Don't lose heart, its just the beginning. Even I got an interview call after 3 years, so I understand. All the best !!!
@Fir_se_applying hmm... it is all part of the game.... lets see what's in store for me :)
