ISB Class of 2014 aspirants.

@Fir_se_applying I know people who applied in Round 1 last year but were interviewed during Round 2 interviews and even got the admit call. All the best !! Hope for the best.
@Yagami_Light No. The previous application is not available with the panel. Don't worry. They will have enough questions on your current appli πŸ˜›
@sannidhi : Dont assume that...for some reason only they have asked for the previous app no...now during sorting out apps for consideration they will definitely like to some similarity & consistency in what u want to be....its better not to take any chances....as i know there are not many things that need to go wrong for a reject at a place like ISB....
@kanusep12 : Hey Man i think till u get any mail or msg confirmation u should not lose hope...but i think u shud also start working on ur back up plan.....wish u all the best !!!

For those outstation candidates who have already appeared for the interview..please let us know what is the best way to reach the campus from the airport.

Cheers :)
@Carnivalof_rust None of the re-applicants have mentioned about previous applis. Heard from an alum that they hardly have time to even go through the main appli.. havng said that, cannot rule out the prev app. It's always better to give a thorough read.. Anyway, as long as the applications talk about the person you *really* are, there is nothing much to worry about! Best of luck!

I also called the adcom, they said last date for interview is definitely 11th Nov and there will be no interview after 11th for R1. He also said that 99% calls are already rolled out.

However, he said there may be some applicants who are put on waiting list to be interviewed during R2.
In any case, you will receive an notification from ISB on 15th indicating whether you are:

i) admitted
ii) rejected after interview
iii) rejected without interview
iv) put on wait list after interview
iv) put on wait list without interview (I am still hoping, mine is this case )

So, Best of luck to all of you !!

@nitinkg How's that possible nitin? Someone on this forum already has an invite for November 12th.
@sushbis : u take Aero express it will cost u around Rs 230. u need to get down at Gachibowli crossroad, tell them u want to get down 2 stops before IIIT...from there u can get an auto...it will take max 1:30 hrs to reach campus from airport....n yes ask which aero express goes to hi-tech city...
@Carnivalof_rust hmm... already working on some other apps.... Thanks :)

Taking aero express is the best alternative. If you intend to return to airport after your ISB Interview, you can buy a round trip ticket for Rs. 400 (effectively saving Rs. 60 😁 ) From the Gachibowli crossroad, an auto ride would take you hardly 3-4 mins. But the auto would charge you anything from 60-100 Rs. You need to haggle a bit and try to bring down to Rs. 30 approx. It took me 1.5 hrs to reach at night (10 PM) Traffic during peak time is very unpredictable in Hyderabad.

For ppl coming over to the Hyd campus for interview, if you need any help in/around the campus, give me a holler on 9000500688. If am not sleeping/in class, will try to ease things for you.

Best of luck.

Sharing my interview expereince: I had my interview today at Delhi. It was really not a cakewalk, like some of the other B school interviews I had before (IIM/SP Jain/Symbi etc etc). They basically tore my application apart end-to-end; a lot of cross-questioning, and what ifs! I think I did fine because I didn't write anything I wasn't sure of or couldn't back up. But the clincher were the two guesstimates I got. One of them I did well. The other one I got nervous and fumbled, and arrived at a number which even common sense told me was way off! They laughed it off; but I am afraid that really could have messed up my chances 😞 Oh well, you live and you learn....at any rate you live 😁

@HopeIsAGudThing how was ur interview buddy?
@sudhir3127 have a mixed feeling.. i'll call you in the evening...

95% of the people who have underwent the interview have had the same few words to say "Mixed feeling... Not sure... 50-50"
Im in the same boat too.. wondering what those people are really looking at!!! :|

Can anyone confirm if ISB has invited any re-applicants (from last year) this year? I am really disappointed and unable to understand what went wrong after 720 GMAT, working in Oil Industry for two years with two promotion and one service award, having own profit making start up beside international scholarship, outstanding student award and international published technical paper??
