Jokes apart, what was the general feedback that this person received in the 4 years when things did not pan out?? I'm sure he/she would have been asked about the repeated attempts.

This reminds me of my engineering times - when the professors would give us good grades not because we deserved it, but because they didn't want us back in their courses the following year/semester
If I recall correctly, he was dinged after an interview on his 2nd attempt. The 1st and 3rd went without interview calls. And the feedback received was constructive. Didn't pick on his repeated attempts 😐

Felt that i definitely screwed up modulus, inequalities probs in Quant.
A 50 in Quant and 40+ in Verbal should do the trick for me :)

OG book has a diagnostic test. But if you go on it official website, The Official GMAT Website , you can download GMATPrep software. That has 2 practice tests. One you should give without any prep and the other with full prep.

you don't have to register for the exam to download, you can get it directly if i am not wrong. You need to register only if you need the exams in the CD format.

If you take my suggestion then don't put your enterprenuer experience in CV. As per legal act in my company, I can't work in any other company without getting clearence from my employeer.
I recommend to take approval mail from your employeer about the secondary job and money you are earning out of it. It will also help in managing IT(Income tax) returns of yours.
Otherwise, you can put yourself in big trouble if legal action is taken against you...

Its always a good practice to take the GMAT practice tests in the last, when you have done sufficient preperation. GMAT Practice test resembles more closely to the GMAT exam than any other test available.
Once you start with your GMAT preperation, you should go with more tougher tests. You take Manhatten tests - believe 10 practice tests are available with any Manhatten book you purchase.
Then there are other test -KPLAN, Score800 etc. You can search on internet and will get good amount of material on GMAT.
Plan for the GMAT practice tests in the last, once you have finished all your preperation -- probably 15 or 10 days before your actual GMAT tests.
Please remember that key to GMAT success in time management & planning. You need to fix a date and plan to utilize your time judiciously.

with the students..Jab apna number aayega tab tak they will be on the interview board. Visa tw humare paas pehle se hi hai.

and planning the road ahead. Aaj GMAT preparation start kiya hai. Have bought a spiral notebook, a pen, and Manhattan GMAT SC downloaded from SC and printout taken.

Agree with most of the part.. except taking all the practice tests 10-15 days before the exam.
One practice test should be taken as soon as you start preparing. WIll let you know where you are and you can process accordingly.
If you take the test 10-15 days before the exam, and God forbid, get a poor score,you might go into panic struck mode. So take a couple of tests early,guage where you are and plan accordingly.

Must warn you though, 4 years of drinking with the ISB crowd might lead to a situation where you will need a liver along with the admit :D
The end of term parties out there are insane with the booze flowing well into the morning hours!!
