I was waiting for the results before posting this, either way, just wanted to thank a lot of people on here for this thread.. Provided information and also a way of knowing that so many people were going through the same motions :)... Congratulations to those who got in, feels good...
To those who got wait-listed, I hope you all get in, keep the faith and you can also update the adcom with any recent achievements or change in your application since the interview. To those rejected, believe in yourself and all the best for your future.

Good to Very Good EC's - Debates / Quizzes at school level, Organizing Events at college level, Been associated with an NGO for the past 5-6 years as a volunteer..
2 month internship at an IT Solutions Company in Dubai after college
Working with Infosys for 2.2 years now in a Digital Marketing platform.
Interview Experience -
Was in Mohali in October, I had chosen Delhi as the location but since i was working in Chandigarh so they called me in Mohali. I reached ISB mohali and nobody at the reception knew that there were interviews , we had to call someone from the Adcom !
2 alums and one person from the Adcom were in my panel.
- Tell us something that's not in your application
talked about my passion for football and a new responsibility at work that I had taken since the application.
- Questions about my internship in Dubai, why not join them permanently, one key learning from your sales experience, what was your success rate like etc etc
told them about my sales learnings, my performance was good so they called me to Dubai
- What kind of work i do in infosys
- Questions about Digital Marketing ( I had mentioned this as my post ISB Goal )
As this was my post ISB goal, I was very prepared here, could say that it combines technology and management skills so the need for MBA was justified, also they tried to talk about a couple of negative points regarding Digital Marketing but I named some successfull campaigns that had come up in the last 2 years.
This was the major part of my interview, have conviction in your goal and be prepared to defend it.
- Why not target colleges like Mudra etc which offer these courses
talked about the fact that the work of creative agencies ( which mudra preps us for ) can be outsourced, it's the brand managers who have ownership of the brand and that's where i want to be
- Questions on my love for football, quizzes, Derek O Brien
- Any questions for us -
I asked how was your experiences..
The interview was fun, I managed to make them laugh a couple of times and although initially nervous, once you start talking it becomes a lot easier...

Anyone knows how to edit video in the Movie Maker software. Basically, I have shot a video with Picassa using webcam. Now, at certain points in the video, I want the picture to fade and transition a few photos with the audio still playing. Can anyone help?

@Sadhvika Not sure. If we could get some data from last yr students, we would be able to make a guess.
Also, my frnd, who is a current student at ISB, told me that for the last two years all waitllist candidates got into the final list in March.
Anyone else who can confirm on this?
@punters11 Its easy.. pull the videos into frames and then you can cut out the length.. then there are the transition tools you can put inbetween these frames..
@swargupta aaah.. ok.. an alum told me there is high probability... he was a wait list himself.. I dunno man..
I got a mail saying that they will consider my application along with C2 applicants.. if i am not mistaken everyone who dint get an admit would have gotten this right?
The mail for waitlist candidates had a positive tone to it though 😃 , no harm in wishful thinking

I got an admit email at 3 PM today. Finally! Phew! 😃
any which ways my company has strict 3 month notice period unless i convince some senior poartner in my firm to let me go. ITs over for me guys .. i am bidding adieu to this forum ..
Hi guys.....just checked my mail... i'm waitlisted as well... i guess there are too many in the waitlist on pg itslef ...shudder to wonder how many in total... and add to that, more will be waitlisted in R2.... by the end of the process waitlist could be close to half the batch strength of isb.... this waitlist thing is a farce.... it's equivalent to a reject.... newaz all the best to all waitlisted and rejected candidates and congratulations once again to those with the offer. peace out.......

Same is true for me too. Only that GMAT is less only 650. But experience is >8 years.
@nitinkg Not sure if that's the issue !! I have 8.5 yrs exp as well and my CTC is very close to yours .. And GMAT is 610 .. So I guess that's not an issue
