Moreover,if we enter name of employer and tick the checkbox as current employer in employment tab of application form, then if we click on the main Print Preview it is showing that the job duration is till March 2012

i was confused about the "degree institution". generally people care more about which degree you have rather than college where you get that degree from, so was bounced by that question

31 March 2013 is the date that ISB takes into account for Work Experience.

You are correct. You need to put in the name of the college where you studied.

I know oft-repeated question but what would be the ideal time to write gmat for R1? prep-wise there's a lull so want to write it as late as possible. Is mid-aug decent time since R1 deadline is 15th of sept? Pls help ! 😃

Ask the same questions you and others ask on this thread.. How is your profile? what are the drawbacks? is it suitable to ISB? discuss your long term goals..
I suggest talk as much as you can and get all your doubts about your profile and application clear..
Another suggestion is to steer clear of questions like: when will the application window open?what is the format for recommendation?can I apply online?bla bla blaa.. I hope you get the picture.. These details will be available when the time comes.. but u won't get to talk to a ISB person everytime.

There, there, there..... I was about to write abt this and you already posted abt this. Folks this is the first time I think ISB has started this video thing.
Personally, I think its a positive initiative. A 90 sec video will be one of the selling points of d app apart from essays. A picture is worth a 1000 words,
Imagine a video of 90 secs. Worth Thousands and Thousands of words :)
Things that u cannot elaborate/write in app cos of word limit constraint, can be part of this (provided there is relevance to the theme of the video). 90 secs is more than enough for one to create a masterpiece.

Folks, there is only one ideal time to write GMAT. "When you are ready". Do not write it just for applying for R1. If you do that in a hurry you not only jeopardize the chances of getting a good score, you also hamper you app as a low GMAT score might work against you when there is close competition among peers.
I just happened to have a look at the IR section, a video from Manhatten GMAT. It does make a lot of things clear about IR. So the new pattern should not scare you.
Also do not make the mistake of sitting on your app the whole time while you think of giving the GMAT or prepare for it. Many a brave souls have lost battles in committing such a sin. App preparation is not only GMAT. One should start checking off things in the app that can be finished off easily. Also one should not hesitate in starting with the essays. Please, Please, Please, Please do not wait for the GMAT score to start the essays. There is no connection.
