@Kode_A Waah TAaj waah....aanke nam ho gayee satya ki anoobhooti Kark . Apne yahan MBA udankhatola hai, sabko chahiye taaki shaadi Mai dahej zyaada mile.... Ab woh din hawaa hue ab ladkee waalo ko kisi ne Mckinsey ka naam bataa diya hai , jisse competition aur bhad gayee... some friends of me who Study at Columbia university and are from IT needed 740 because they were not from IIT. Hearing just IT background make me feel avg profile with back logs who just had a recent fight with his supervisor at work for being drunk and fellow women stalker at work, so in such case one need an 800 in the GMAT.
Fight Banta hain yar, ek zyada fight marta hain aur doosra kam lekin sab fight kar rahe hain. Aur dahej ka koi contention hi nahi, bilkul on the target. Unfortunately we need to fight it out from such a huge group of aspirants for a seat in the ONLY bschool (Ok lemme clarify, there are IIMs ka PGPEX lekin I do not see it as an equivalent to ISB MBA, it is a completely different setup) that admits through GMAT. And being from IT is another sin, to wash off all your sins you need an elixir called high GMAT score. Kuch tho chahiye to fall in the eyes of ad coms.

@ All Delhi/Mohali folks,

Even though my guess is as good as yours, I think ISB is playing around to discourage people from calling. From what you guys say, it seems they are behaving like the Joker in Dark Knight, a different story every time for how he got his scars :)

All the best to everyone :)
@dr_njay practising mock with frnds

A rough analysis.... general healthcare calls for mohali/delhi are scheduled at last.. so for hyd also they should be in last... as the same people would be taking intrvw for health domain..

Hope this analysis is right :)

@Kode_A
great analysis i must say......but you forgot to include the application fee in the "total kamayee" section
given the magnitude of the fee, the application fee seems minor, but if you multiply it by the number of students, im sure it would turn into a significant number. I think for every seat close to 8 people apply. With that assumption, 6160 applications are sent to ISB.
Some (dont know how many) are re-applicants, which have a lower fee of 1000INR.
@ammo44 the percentage for my undergrad is 71%
@raghupro That is correct - I have a skype/phone interview. I know that you are one of the key contributors on this thread and l really hope that you make the cut this year...

Any interview advice or material ....?

@ammo44 was late for most of the round 2 as i gave my gmat on dec 27.

Hey please message me your email ID.

I have a question.. do you have to specify a concentration at or before time of admission ? I want to know if operations management / scm is a good option to consider in isb..

As far as I know there isn't a need to mention a concentration. Your major is decided by the electives you take throughout the year. If you wanna specialise in Marketing then you have to cover enough number of credits in marketing related courses.
@harshadsgsits some people from healthcare background got invite for 17-20 Jan slot ...I have interview in Mohali and dr_njay has interview in Delhi again on 31 st I guess..so there is no specific trend that they will send healthcare calls at one go...just have patience and i/v call will come for you as well :)

Why cant they just send the Rejection mail..so that its done and over with and we actually get on with our lives doing something productive !!

@ankyrules Agree with you..

hi guys, I am good at quantitative section but not that much good at verbal.. please suggest me a good book to prepare..

@me77 Aristotle GMat prep books for verbal are very good. Also read MGMAT SC book.
