My profile:Xth: 93.6% (CBSE)XIIth: 78.8% - Science (CBSE)Engineering from NIT Warangal CGPA: 7.54/10Working in an investment banking middle office profile for a European Bank. ~16months till date.My last CAT score was 97+ with 98+ in VALRIf I write GMAT in July, with 20+ months in work-ex, what would be an appropriate score for getting a call from ISB?
Mate, We are always open to help or guide anyone.
To answer your question, you will be considered to have just more than 2 yrs experience by the time you join. This is significantly lower than the average (close to 5 yrs) at ISB. To offset this you need a rock solid profile with consistent above average professional achievements. Any yeah you certainly need a score around 750 (+/- 10) if you are from IT domain. Else try to maximize your score and push it to 710 or more.
@waterman We will only consider your contribution if you can arrange " WATER" incase @Kode_A would not desire for the NEAT drink. Stay away from electricity mr. Water. . @reecha I know a man died after he ate Maggie without any uncooked vegetables. Though he ate without removing the wrapper. It is always advisable to have any elder folks around :: @reecha
Dude no water.. I need that fridge to make my drink ON THE ROCKS \m/
Hi Guys,How many of you would be interested in a book (from the perspective of an Indian applicant) which will help you clear all confusions related to various aspects of applying to top management programs like relevance of GMAT, work experience, help on essays and recomendations and also guidance of tackling the interviews?
Hey,
Ideally the answer would be YES.
But the kind of people who are here are broken and shaken by MBA application system. For multiple years.
I guess most of us can open an MBA admissions consultancy :)
If I am able to earn back all the money that I have spent on GMAT, application forms and travelling for interviews I ll be glad to do this :)

@Kode_A I am a Maggie guy, I don't drink but will accompany you folks. However, refreshing this page is sheer fun and currently I am chuckling on all the stupid comments and some of my very "intellectual" comments that I have made at the same time.

Please tell me if I am seeing a trend.....in the early stages iv calls were for very high gmat scores,720 and above but in the later stages I see a distinct drop..

Bingo, I noticed it, thought about it and now I am sure it is that way. One may disagree but I am convinced. Barring a few exceptions, it has been this way.

@Kode_A Here you go bro.. It would be nice if you can pool up some details about in-store product placement techniques and some details about how much retails charge for special showcase of products.
Also if you can find some real good numbers of NFC based product engagement being used by some companies. From the reports I know people are spending around 50 seconds at a product instead of typical 5 secs when brands are trying to engage their customers using some NFC based engagement techniques
Hope this engages you a bit and helps me out too :D
