I am using this website for the first time.

I have given my GMAT exam this year and now I have to apply for ISB.

I have 2 years of work-ex as of now.

Looking for some help in this regard.

Hi,

I gave GMAT this july and got a decent score of 740.

I have good marks in 10th and 12th(both above 90%).

I am looking to apply for PGP in ISB(2014-15) batch.

I have 2 years work-ex currently in Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd.

I wanted to know what are my chances of getting selected this year and needed some help with my application.

Hi Puys,


I am a software engineer, having 3.5 years of exp. in IT.
My Btech marks are 72.8 %
My 12th is 67.6 %

I worked in Two Domains as Banking and Healthcare. I am planning to apply to ISB in Round 2.

I recently Given my MOCK GMAT i got 500. I got very less marks in Verbal. I want to improve my verbal to a bigger extent, What score should I target in GMAT.??

When should I have to book slot for the GMAT Test?? Does it happens like you can't book in Oct??
What should we do to keep track about these things??

Any comments or advice will really appreciated...

Dear Frds,

I am Arun, working in Research and development - Mahindra & Mahindra Automotive. I scored 94 % in 10th , 96 % in 12th and 76% in B Tech. I am having 5 yrs of work experience and have got 2nd highest R&D; award twice during these period. I am gonna give GMAT on Nov 12 and have started prep for the same. Is it possible to get into ISB or anyother IIM-EPGP ? Thks

10th : 87.5
12th : 84
Ranked 22nd in the state for board
Eng: NIT 70% ECE
exp: 11 yrs, currently employed with one of the Big 5 consultancy.
National level cricket player. Played for my state.

Is this a good profile to think of getting through ISB considering the low GMAT score?

I have been hearing that your probablity of getting selected in ISB is more when you are applying in the 1st round. Although on websites and other forums it says that your probablity of getting selected remains same whether you apply for round 1 or round 2. Kindly throw some light on this?

Hi.i am hemanth..Please evaluate my profille..i am working in Cognizant for the past six months..i will have 1 year work 3x before 2014...i have secured 93 %(CBSE) in my class tenth anf 95% in my State Board twelth exams..i have a BE degree in ECE from Anna University..a reputed university from TN and have secured 7.5 CGPA..my potential stand out points is the fact that i am the co-founder to two startups..one on the business front (ADVERTISING )and the other on the social front helping deserving students get quality education..i have a GMAT score of 710..i am a good SNOOKER player and zonal level volley-ball and basket-ball player...and one of my strengths is ESSAY writing and am sure i can paint a beautifull picture abt my skills to the admission board..what are my chances of entering ISB ? hi...i am Srinivas...can you please comment on my profile..i am currently working for Pegasystems (product company) by 2014 March I will complete 2years 8Months...I have 80% in 10th Andhra Pradesh state board...87% in intermediate AP state board...69% in Engineering JNTU...currently i have finished the ground work to establish a NGO which would fund, guide and motivate the youth to participate in social cause...and will roll out next month for the first event....i am a state level champion in martial arts in my schooling...i have developed a website for my college in engineering...also the placement coordinator in the final year...received many appreciation from the customer in my career.... have serious plans to completely take up social service as a career and develop a new model which strives for an india with 100% literacy & 0% women violence.....believe ISB would be a good launch pad for me in achieving them... personally i can portray my self as very unique... Hi Puys,

Is it ok give GMAT on 16th November for R2?
The FAQ section on ISB website mentions that it takes about 2-3 weeks for the score to reach ISB.
When exactly is the official score needed.....by nov 30 deadline or some any date(such as shortlist date)?

700 GMAT. 3.5 years of IT work ex as of now. Good office record (lot of awards). Apart from office I am also associated with a placement training startup for past 2 years. What are my chances in ISB this year ? I am planning to apply in round 2.

Current work profile - Senior project Manager (managing 35-40 associates and projects worth several million dollars)

Do I stand any chance in R2 considering my IT background and very low GMAT score (680) ? Is my work exp too high considering the class profile ?
