ISB Class of 2014 aspirants.

Hi Puys

ISB R2 deadline is Nov 30th. While writing GMAT, I didn't mention ISB as one of the 5 schools.

Now for R2 application, from what I've heard GMAT guys will take close to 2-3 weeks to send the gmat scores. Does that mean I have to finish my application before Nov 10th itself? How does it work?

Thanks

Hi,

I'm a Bachelor of Commerce Hons graduate out of University of Delhi, secured a First Class. My 10th and 12th scores range in early 90%.

My GMAT score was 710, Q 48 V 39, AW 6.0

I have a year and three months of work experience in Tax - Transfer Pricing with KPMG Delhi and about nine months with PwC - Tax/ Financial Services. That adds to about two and half years by next March. I am concerned that my work is concentrated on tax, will that be a weak point?

In terms of extra curricular, I have been on editorial boards in school and college.

I'm only just beginning with the application essays - where do you think I stand?

My GMAT Score is 700 (Q47, V38) (AWA: 4). I've completed my graduation in Electronics & Communication Engg. at SRKNEC, Nagpur (Degree: 57.1%), X Std: 89.46%, XII Std: 89.33% (PCM: 95%). I have a work experience of 2.5 years at iGate (erstwhile Patni Computer Systems), Bombay in Software testing with the designation of Senior Software Engineer.

How are my chances? Thanks.

Hi guys, I have recently given GMAT and scored 710. My profile :

Xth - 92.7 %

XIIth - 95.7 %

BTech (CSE) - 81.46 %

Work Ex- 28 months (present)

Extra-curricular - University Chess player, District Poetry winner, Performer in Maths magic shows, many state level prizes.

I am a CAT aspirant but given GMAT as well this year.

I want to apply for second round of allotment but as the deadline is near, i can't complete the essays on my own.

Can someone please suggest any consultants - preferably in Hyderabad - to guide me through.

Also Can you please tell me what chance i stand for 2014 admissions.

Hello everyone..

I am a guy with a very weird problem.
I am interested in doing an MBA but i'm still not sure as to which subject/specialization to choose. I am giving my GMAT on dec 9th and as of now i'M scoring only about 600.
Everybody i meet ask me as to what specialization I wanna do and i carelessly just say sales/marketing, but in reality I have no clue. I know that knowing a specialization by now is very important as I must have short listed some B schools by now.
But in reality the only thing that interests me is the pay package. So can anyone please enlighten me the best MBA specializations that will hold good value 20-30 yrs down the line?
Please help me as i'm severely confused.
NOTE: One thing I'm 100% sure of is that MBA is perfect for me, as I'm not much of a technical guy, I like managing people, I have good communicating and convincing abilities.

I'm not able to concentrate on my gmat because of this uncertainty. Please help :(

Hi,
I got an admit for class of 2015 in ISB Hyderabad. This forum has helped me prepare and get an admit. I thought I must share finally what is my decision.

I have decided to decline ISB hyderabad offer. Family and Monetary limitations is the reason. Fees is simply too high for me to manage. Special thanks to @Llewellyn75 for guiding me. ISB is the best place to be. After talking to him I started preparation on my finances, but could not make ends meet.

All the best to the lucky and deserving 770 students. Hope my seat goes to another very deserving candidate.

Thanks again to this forum and its members. Probably my last post πŸ˜ƒ

Hi All,

Meanwhile I would like to do a 6 months online course which would add some worth to my resume. So can anyone please suggest me good colleges or good courses.
The courses must be useful for MBA. Does any premier organizations of India or World offer any e-learning course.

Dear All,

I have applied for ISB R2 deadline and I am pretty optimistic about getting shortlisted for interview. This would be my first interview for any MBA class. Could someone share me the exact pattern for interview? I heard they will give me a word and I have to write about it. Do we need to write or speak about that word? Kindly help me with correct details. Also is there any specific word list which can be referred for practice. Problem is if I do not know the meaning of a word, I will not be able to wrote about it 😞 . So just seeking a solution for this chicken and egg problem :).
